Too much new music at one time! New Sevendust, new Disturbed and new Opeth all at the same time! Which one to listen to?

Disturbed!!!
My girlfriend doesn't like Indestructible that much, but I like it. I was also the only person who pre-ordered it at the Hot Topic in town.

Actually that's a pretty good order you have them in. :D

Bite thine tongue or I shall be forced to speak sternly in your direction! LOL! I like Sevendust a lot but they have a "sameness" that grows old. I was the one who got her into Disturbed but they have peaked IMHO. But Opeth...Opeth is miles away out front of the other two bands.

Disturbed and Sevendust aren't my cup of Tea, but Opeth certainly is. A fantastic band in the studio and live!

Right now for me it's..... SLAYER- Haunting the Chapel

Track right now: Chemical Warfare

Having spent a few days with the new Opeth CD I have to say it's no Ghost Reveries. It's more prog than death metal. It has more harmonies and acoustic sounds than aggressive evilness. LOL!

I just now started getting into Slayer. When they first hit big I was a christian and to listen to such things would make my ears bleed and cause me to burst into flames where upon Satan would drag my soul to hell. But isn't that what Slayer is all about? LOL! I hear them quite a bit on XM radio and like what I've heard.

For Opeth I'd suggest you get Blackwater Park. Best album they ever did, though the stuff from even earlier is pretty good.

As for Slayer, I saw them live two years ago and there's really nothing quite like them. One of the best shows ever. As for the whole satanic thing its interesting how of late they all say they never were nor are satanists. Kerry King just hates all religion and Tom Araya has for quite a while said he's a Catholic (mind you he comes from an Chilean family). You have to start with the album Seasons in the Abyss and then get South of Heaven and Reign in Blood. All three are classics.

Right now though I'm listening to something fairly different. Apocalyptic english folk music.

Can't believe this is still going!!! Much love to all posters in this thread

Neurosis - Sun that never sets album.

Magic Man

Reaper of Conversation
the new coldplay album is a bit dissapointing.

I agree. I was never a fan until I heard "Viva La Vida". I can't get enough of that song, and so I bought the album yesterday, and am listening to it now. The rest of the album doesn't live up to the title track, but there is still some good stuff. Once I got past expecting more like that song, I found I appreciated the whole thing more.
