Like others have said, I don't reject any of these religions, because none of them promote pain and hatred in their creed. I reject a few beliefs in them, but not them overall. And I certainly reject those nasty people who use their religion to cause pain to others. The thing is, no one practices a pure form of their religion. It's impossible to do everything the religion says. So I guess I accept these religions like I accept pure communism - sounds great, but it'll never happen.

I reject nothing that is true and good in any faith or non-faith.
Wait, can I go back and change my answer and plaguarize Scott? He just said in one eloquent sentence what I think I babbled on about for a few paragraphs.

Are they, now? Do you have any documentation for that? I'd love to read something detailing the amount of terrorists associated with each religion.

I am surprised that Satanism and Islam received so many votes. Lots of them are from theists, as well.
I'm not, when you take into account that they are probably the two most misunderstood religions overall.

the only one i reject is the one i ran away from and it is christanity. to me christanity was more of a political movement than a true religion.

It depends on what you mean by religion. If you are referring to the original teachings of the prophets/messengers of the major religions, i accept them all since they were the same teachings. if you are referring to the man-modified versions that are widely practiced today, i guess i would reject most all. I do not know much about satanism, but i reject what does not follow the teachings of the prophets.

I think it is because the american media always shows muslims and says they are terrorists. There are many "terrorists" in other countries and of every religion, but right now we are supposed to be scared of muslims for whatever reason. Also most people believe what they see on tv and do not read or learn the truth that Islam is a religion of peace despite what a few individuals might do.

I haven't voted. I have created a set of rules according to which I try to live, and don't for myself accept any religion (Daoism possibly excluded from the exclusion list).

On the other hand, there are religions which I respect less than others. I can accept the Abrahamic religions' views of their scriptures, despite not believing in them, but I don't accept religions claiming that their scriptures are dictated by beings (not gods) from outer space. I don't like religions that seemingly are created just to make their prophets/leaders/executives rich. I frown on religions saying that they believe in a certain book, and then interpret it in ways that defy all common sense as well as scholarship.

Scott, I bow to your post. I do try to find the positive aspects of religions, traditions, cultures etc., but in the above cases, I find that the absurdities outweigh the positive aspects (if any).

I don't really reject any, all have their good and bad points, I take and use what I see as worthful from many sources to enhance own well being, the only thing I reject is what I see as obvious ignorance.

I voted for none. To be honest, there are certain traditions & rituals in all religions that I don't care for, and there is good and bad people in all walks of life. To condem a religion because of some fanatics is simple minded and lazy. I believe all people including those who reject God are children of God. To hate them is to hate God. I can't do that.

I don't reject the people. I reject the belief....and I don't reject the belief because of the fanatics. I agree with you on that one.

Christianity seems to be the least tolerated overall.
let me clerify, you asked what religions I 'rejected' not what religions did I not 'tolerate'.

I tolerate Christianity, I love the teachings of Jesus for thier wisdom. However Christianity as a whole was not for me, it never felt quite right to me so I chose to find a faith that did.

I have no ill will tword Christianity, infact I have some fond memories of being one. I do have great frustration with some of the extremist followers, but you find those in any Religion.

I can not have 'rejected' the other faiths as I have never been a member of another faith.

So please do not confuse the point that I 'rejected' Christianity with the idea that I don't 'tolerate' Christianity. ;)

since the media in my country is so biased to be a usually right-wing, terrorist-hating christian-loving media, all i ever see about terrorists are AL-ZAQARWI (i dont think im spelling his name right...) MUQTADA AL-SADR, OSAMA BIN LADEN. there is always something in the news a bout key al qaueda liuetenants being captured, and the only form of terrorists shown seem to be muslims. you never hear about a christian bombing a school, or a buddhist blowing up a marketplace. all you hear about are islamic terrorists. and absoluteley nothing else

If you look into the bombing of abortion clinics you'll find Christian terrorists. And can you please cite something for the assertion that most terrorists are Muslim?
