What are ghosts?

Guitar's Cry

One of the most interesting things about ghosts is how easily it is passed off as "ridiculous nonsense." People experience something that we have defined as "ghostly phenomena," and evidence is gathered. Ghosts exist as at least defined phenomena. Evidence is collected. Ridiculous nonsense? Pshaw!

It's only nonsensical because it doesn't work well with particular beliefs.

When I see the paper on ghosts published in Nature I'll believe. But I'm turning blue holding my breath waiting for the Intelligent Design paper.

Being published in prestigious journals is good and all, but one of the fall backs to the peer review process is the subjectivity of the peers.

Especially those that are waiting for the paper on ghosts to be published in Science.

Oh, and bypassing the opinions of experts in the field is somehow more objective? Nature has been published since 1869 and has a certain prestige and track record to maintain. Science is a gigantic house of cards, and it would be dire indeed for scientists to build a whole career on someone's sloppy paper that slipped through.

For religious folks out there, if you believe when one dies their spirit goes to heaven(or hell), then what are ghosts? Why are spirits still hanging around here, if they should be elsewhere? Or do religious folks believe in ghosts?

Personally, I don't believe in ghosts or paranormal phenomenon as being real.

There are eleven dimensions. After the earth you will move into the next higher dimension for a short time and then your personality will go to it's adjudication where it is essentially "judged" by your soul. The soul may choose to fuse with your personality forever or it may not depending on how selfish your personality is. Most likely, if you were unable to see other humans, complete strangers, as equal to yourself then your personality will be deemed too selfish for the universe. The soul will simply abandon it and try again and that personality will cease to exist.

Sometimes souls are too eager to ascend and they fuse with immature selfish personalities. This is a problem because the bond normally cannot be broken and a soul with a selfish personality absolutely will not be allowed to ascend into the higher dimensions and eventually return to heaven. So, these soul/beings recycle back into this dimension in the hopes of finding a personality combination that is unselfish to join with and essentially overwrite the selfish personality elements.

Ghosts are higher dimensional beings who are not allowed to ascend nor are they allowed to return to this dimension, they are essentially stuck. Ol' Lucifer's little rebellion caused the access to the higher dimensions to be shut off completely for a while. Now Christ controls the access and work is being done to help the "ghosts" get unstuck.

Science isn't built on prestige. And a paper need not be sloppy, unscientific, or unfounded to not be blocked by the opinions of "experts."

Keep in mind that I'm not demeaning scientific expertise, but rather being realistic about human prejudice.

That comment goes against the very spirit of science.

The day I see a paper that doesn't rely on broken science....

Uh, I don't think so.
