The End

K, due to many political happenings, technologies, and prophecies being fufilled, has brought my attention to the book of revelation, and in realisation that this could and possibly will take place within my or the next generation (within the next 100 years), any comments, arguments or insights is what i'm looking for here.

Just be ready when it happens because no one knows. Revelations was writen in code by Christians(some believe Paul) becuase all people preaching about Jesus were put to death. So they wrote the books in code and the elders of the church that recieved them translated it. Many believe that Revelations was one of the only books to never be fully translated.

I have a question to you. What political happenings, technologies and prophecies are being fulfilled? Because I to share in your concern.

Also just remember that in the year 2000 people said it was the end of the world. I have asked my mother about that and she said in the 60s people were running around saying that the world was coming to end then. she also said in her parents time people said the same thing. leaving me to believe that no really can predict that time just as no one can predict the time they will die. You should just be ready.

Again i would like to hear your beliefs of why you think the world will end.

From a Christian point of view, you should notice Acts 1.7:
It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Moreover, I think that the prophesies in the Bible mainly are of two kinds: those that deliberately are so obscurely worded that they can be interpreted to mean just about anything, and those that were made up afterwards to prove a statement made earlier in the Scriptures.

Caleb, the Apostle John says in Revelations that the world will not end. He says" I, John saw a renewed Heaven and a renewed earth and there was no more sea. And I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven as a bride adorned for her bridegroom." Oh that gives me goosebumps. Read the last chapter of Revelations, it is spectacular. The King is coming for His bride, the Church which I believe is all true born under the blood Christians.

Yes Martha its going to be awesome! The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the basis of Christianity. Imagine if his return happens during out life time, we'll hear a mighty sound of a trumpet and Christ returns to gather the Church, those true Christians who have died will be raised up. At this time all Christians, whether dead or alive, will be changed. Those living will put on immortality. Those that are dead will put on incorruption. And we will meet Christ in the air with our new bodies. Awesome stuff. Then after 1000yrs the resurrections in Revelation will take place; the resurrection of Israel and unbelivers and the resurrection of the just and unjust. It seems to me that God has a plan for everyone considering there will be a place in the Heavens for his household and a new earth for perhaps those that didn't believe in him, or had the chance, and passed God's judgment.

One of my favorite songs, The King is coming, The King is coming, I can hear the trumpets sounding and now His Face i see. The King is coming, The King is coming. Praise God, He's coming for me.

Put on your armor, true blood, and fight on here. There are so many wandering out in sin.

In my personal opinion the world will never end.
The people living in the bible days thought that the world was going to end during their lifetime.

In the 24th chapter of Matthews when Jesus was talking about the end, he said "Mt 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled". When the temple was destroyed there were followers of Jesus still alive.
He talked about the stars falling from the sky to the earth. Don't worry, that will never happen because the smallest star in the sky is the same size of the earth.
Paul even thought that Jesus was going to appear during his lifetime according to the following verses:
1Th 4:16
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

1Th 4:17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

THE BOOK OF THESSALONIANS WAS WRITTEN BEFORE THE GOSPELS.

The first verse of Revelations speaks of things SHORTLY to come, not 2000 years later and the book was written solely to the seven churches in Mediterranean.

Re 1:1
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Re 1:10
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Re 1:11
Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

People have been preparing for the end of time for the past 2000 years and will still be looking for the end to occur for the next 2000 years.

If the earth fell with Adam, and we are now in a fallen state, what if the millenium is when the earth will literally rise back to the presence of God. The proximity to the Divine would cause the wicked to burn, for they cannot stand His presence, and the stars would seem to fall from the sky as we rose to the presence of the Lord. It may seem a bit apocryphal, but think about all the signs and compare the effects that would have.

In the 24th chapter of Matthews when Jesus was talking about the end, he said "Mt 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled". When the temple was destroyed there were followers of Jesus still alive.

Generation doesn't necessarily mean one generation in a family. Generation, biblically, often refers to a race of peope or the human race.

Here you're making an assumption about how Paul uses the word "we." It can be used with no reference to the first person. We (as Christisns) have been around for almost two thousand years, but I haven't personally been around that long.

Revelations is a locked book to the sectarian world, but it is an open volume of inspiring scripture to those with the guidance of the Holy Ghost.
