Fifteen Francine Fun Facts

Francine

Well-Known Member
1. My name is not really Francine, it is Teresita.

2. I started posting here three weeks ago, but I have more than 1,000 posts. This means I do not have a life.

3. I have the corresponding number of online enemies that goes with a thousand posts.

4. My parents are immigrants from the Philippines. I was born in Vancouver, Washington.

5. I have long straight black hair which reaches to my lower back, and skin the color of Rich Chocolatey Ovaltine. I cannot get my hair to lay down nice with bangs because I have an Eternal Cowlick.

6. I am 5'3" and 115 lbs dripping wet. My (US) dress and shoe size is six.

7. I was baptized six months to the day after I was born. When I was older I freely embraced the faith as a Roman Catholic Christian in the Sacrament of Confirmation.

8. My philosophy is my own, but it closely aligns with daojia, or philosophical Taoism.

9. My aesthetic is minimalism. Less is more. There is beauty in simplicity. This can be seen in my posting style, which tends toward brevity.

10. My politics are currently center-left. If Hillary is our next President I might drift center-right.

11. I'm a bottom-feeder. I look for very old but interesting RF posts which the crowd has passed by.

12. I have one forum infraction and two chastisements off the record. I tend to overreact with a scorched earth policy when I get those things.

13. I read a LOT, and I can instantly retrieve any fact through my massively parallel data processing ability commonly called women's intuition.

14. I am not a good Catholic, but some say I am good at Catholic apologetics.

15. I like long movies that unfold slowly, like Vertigo, 2001, The Sixth Sense, Solaris. I like Tarantino movies. I like ambient music that runs for the length of the whole CD without breaks. I don't get to watch TV (the other person here controls the remote), so I have to get all my grins and giggles on the internet.

My dear, we are almost nearly alike except for genealogy, skin color and religious affiliation. My own long brown hair (except I have more of a tanned skin pigment and not yummy ovaltine), my love for Tarantino, and my confidence in my own women's intuition.

You're still taller than me, though. I'm 4'11", and hover around 110 pounds most of the time.

OK, so maybe we're not THAT much alike, but it's always cool to have another petite, small-framed, long-haired brunette that is happy to pop in Reservoir Dogs when given the chance.

And I am still not sick of watching Kill Bill vol. 1 & 2. At this point, I could probably recite most of the script. :D

A belated welcome to the forums, Teresita!

Peace,
Mystic

I'm impressed with you Francine. Your very intelligent and well read. The DIR forums get everyone in trouble and when a new thread starts, before I post, I back click and make sure I am allowed to post. You dish it out pretty well, I like that about you. I just hope you realize that not all of us will dislike you because they debate so hard with you. You are a worthy opponent. Did I mention I am fond of your posts? Anyways, for all that information about you deserves some frubals.

Thanks Rick! I try to take great care not to make it personal when I "dish it out" as you put it. At the same time, if someone else decides to have a little fun making things personal, they only get one opportunity to do so. Fool me once, etc.

How many are we supposed to have?

It's nice to create an atmosphere.

Is your avatar supposed to be a self-portrait, Francine? If not, could you explain its significance?

Thanks Cardero. It is a character from a series of graphic novels called Strangers in Paradise.

"The series is noteworthy for its appeal to a non-traditional audience, in particular women who would not ordinarily consider themselves readers of comic books."
