What do you ultimately find yourself attracted to, a person's looks, or their personality?

Im saying this honestly, looks. But, i do need a good personality too. So i am with Storm with this, but looks have the edge.

Im 13 people, dont grill me.

The initial thing that would attract someone would be looks, but the thing that would keep them together would be personality. ;)

I can't lie, I do notice good-looking men, but I just notice them. After I get to know a person, what they look like means nothing to me, what they are means everything. :)

One last thing: Love is a great beautifier (to coin a phrase).

Ultimately, personality. If they look pleasing to me, it doesn't hurt the situation, but personality is more important.

I think a good personality can really make someone sexy.

I went on a first date with this girl that had quite the nice body...but she was angry at the world and sounded like all she did was complain all day. I left the pub about an hour later or so. :(

I feel that personality matters more to me now, rather than looks. Looks matter, but only to an extent.

I would rather date (if I wasn't married, that is) an ugly or homely kind-hearted person than some pessimistic, sadistic, or mean-spirited person who was extremely handsome. I think that is true of most people, even if they don't say so.

A great personality is exciting for a while but once you get to really know someone it doesn't seem so significant. Then you're just left with the looks.

Initially, it was almost always looks that attracted me first but if his personality isn't pleasing after a short period of time, looks are inconsequential.

Still, I'm attracted to both my husband's looks and his personality. Even after being together nearly 10 years I enjoy looking at him...gives me great pleasure, especially in the morning for some reason.

Do you think that looks vs personality may be genetically as well as environmentally determined? I have seen good looking women and men, date very unattractive people (although it could be for money or status). I have also seen both men and women avoid dating a person unless if they were hot.

I have been with cardero for 7 years. His personality attracted me more then his looks. I have the complete package. Even though looks may fade away his personality won't. He will always make me laugh and he will always be a gentelman.

Both, but if you love someone it is ultimately because of personality because one day we're all going to grow old and physical beauty fades with time. When you love someone, he/she is always beautiful in your eyes.
