Valentine's Day

Do you do anything special on Valentine's Day? It is usually slow at work on that day, so people must be celebrating it in some way.

Nope, I've never been in a position to celebrate it. Most likely, the things I do of my own freewill will be posting to this list and reading some books :). That's usually enough to satisfy me in a day.

I'll probably give my girlfriend a call and indulge in a bit of chocolate. Nothing other than that. :)

I do too. Now that you mention it. I have a government test. And maybe a geometry test. I dont know. This weekend has made me forget a lot of things.

I have half term over Valentine's Day (huge sympathy for all you Americans who don't have half terms! :() so I'm going out with a group of other single people so that we can all keep each other company :).

I'm going to a "traffic light" night at a club nearby with lots of my friends... if you're unaware of the meaning of that, then you're probably ahppier not knowing :p

Apart from that, staring listfully at young men and women hoping to meet that special someone...

Every day is Valentine's day for me and my wife; now I find I have the added vicarious Joy of my son's cards.:)

I will spend Valnetine's Day doing the same thing I do every day. Look for a job, and relish in the fact that even if my husband is not a romantic, our marriage has gotten a lot better in the past couple of years.

My girlfriend works 12 hours on VD, and I am working 15. I guess we'll be celebrating wednesday. She has a short shift and I only work one job that day.

I will be working and spending the day here with my Valentines. It has been many years since anyone asked me to be their valentine.

My Valentine's Day has been like any other day.
Got up at 4am.
Got to work a little after 5am.
Worked until 2.10pm
Swung by the post office on my way home.
Got to see Maize for half an hour before she went to bed...poor baby is doped up on anti-congestion meds. :(

I'll no doubt spend my afternoon/evening watching tv, with a cold drink and some comfort food lol.

Good to know that there are a lot of loners like myself out there. I work 6 pm to 6 am and so I will be sleeping and maybe watching what ever sap-tacular movie is being rerun on TV while trying not to be depressed over my recent breakup with my boyfriend and the current issue I have with a married guy (see my thread "To have or Not to have"). Sorry to be so blah but I have pretty much always hated V-day. Never had a significant other before Jason so I guess that I am just bitter. Hope ya'lls V-day goes good though. Love ya all.

I will be spending my Valentine's day as I always do. Dinner, movie and getting loaded with my best friend Tara. It's been our Valentine's tradition for the last 13 years, significant others or not, we always ditch them on Valentine's day to spend it with each other. Hey, I'm supposed to spend the day with the person I love right? And I love Tara more than I do any male so it just seems proper to spend it with her.

Of course, we have to go see a horror movie (as is our tradition) it just seems like if I don't see someone get horribly murdered on Valentine's day, I'm not happy. Nah, I'm not cynical towards this holiday at all :D

Hey, no worries from me about hating Valentines' Day, Andra! (If you want a good way to beat depression for a day, watch "Sean of the Dead" for a refreshing flick... Well, at least I found it funny.)

Here's to all of us with non-romantic Valentines! (Still love all you guys out there that do have 'em, but (no offense) ya got someone else to celebrate with!) We'll rock it out on the RF with each other!

I think I actually managed to sound even less cool when I try to sound cool than I normally sound. That's quite a feat!
