For no legitimate reason, I am on Tumah's profile and read this exchange, and wonder what it was about.

      Thanks Tumah,
When I was saying imperfect I meant it would be incomplete. Isn't that correct?
To me it looks like it could be translated I AM because I AM or I Exist because I Exist. Is that correct?
If it was Aleph Hey Waw Hey, how would it be pronounced?

        Tumah
I understood what you were saying and I was explaining that the prefix makes it imperfective, not imperfect. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperfect#Semitic_languages

The middle word "asher" means "that" or "which".

I do not know how it would be pronounced, the same as I don't know how the Tetragrammaton was pronounced.

      Tumah,
Can I ask you some things re: the phrase Ehyeh asher Ehyeh?
It is translated in so many different ways? Aren't the verbs Qal with prefixes making it imperfect. Or can verbs of being, cover past, present, and future tenses.
Also, is it possible that in the past HYH could have been written HWH, and the sound of the word would have been closer to sounding like the name of God?
      Thanks,
      TrueBeliever37

It's imperfective aspect not imperfect tense. It can mean a current and/or future action, not usually past.

The Y and W are often interchangeable in the writing. I don't see why this one needs to sound more like the Tetragrammaton than any of the other Names of G-d.

Pretty good. Cold enough to make the sun tolerable and warm enough to make it pleasant.

Oh, but I forget, you're born and bred in the heat. Anything under 23c is probably unbearable for you.

Unless you're in a colder part of the world now...?

Not necessarily unbearable; I've been able to handle 0C before, for example. I just prefer warmth. :D

And no, I'm not in a colder part of the world right now.
