Hey Shermana, thanks for the link. I looked over it, but this is a subject I'd have to read a little more about. This is more of an astronomy problem and my expertise (if I can call it that yet, ha!) in cosmology doesn't touch on solar system formation. Regardless, this is an interesting subject that I'd like to look into!

Yay! Another person who sees that Jesus never meant to do away with the Law!

Sorry to babble on this, but this is sort of entering the zone of my specialty :P I just wanted to comment that my personal assessment of the situation is that it's very likely dark matter explains the large-scale (galactic/supercluster) gravitational anomalies rather than some MOND-esque notion of an incomplete understanding of acceleration; particularly with the Voyager craft's data as it hit Sol's terminal shock area.

HOWEVER. There are interesting "coincidences" between MOND's/TeVeS's equations in terms of scale and where we tend to find dark matter as well as some fundamental ratios that don't seem coincidental with some Big Bang inflationary models that we currently believe are the most probable models.

We don't know why MOND/TeVeS has equations that seem related to these notions of scale. It's more likely, though, that MOND/TeVeS is simply getting something right for the "wrong" reason than it's likely for them to be correct or for these scales to be present by coincidence.

Bekenstein's TeVeS is much more plausible than MOND as it stands (though TeVeS is built on the foundations of MOND). The Bullet Cluster renders MOND fairly obsolete in that the data is fairly explicitely contradictory with the predictions of MOND; but TeVeS has some weakly justified escapes from that particular falsification. (Honestly, neither MOND or TeVeS are likely to be true; but I'm saying that if our understanding of acceleration over large distances is incorrect, TeVeS is closer to being on the right track than MOND).

I'd have to look it up for you, but there are now further cosmological examples that fairly clearly vindicate dark matter over an incomplete picture of acceleration than just the Bullet Cluster. Also, the Pioneer Anomaly is no longer thought to lend any sort of support to MOND-derived models. (Continued since this is getting long :P)

When you say quantum vs. Newtonian stuff and gravity, are you talking about MOND or TeVeS?

Hey Shermana, sorry that it's been so long. I've only just now finished my finals and everything. Have you been researching anything else interesting lately?

He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (Luke 10:27) seems to me he was summarizing the Ten Commandments

But like I said, he obviously taught adherence to more than just the 10 commandments, where does it say only the 10 will last?

Obviously he came not to Abolish the Law, the Ten Commandments, so coveting and adultery are covered

No early Christians made sacrifices for our sins, because it obvious our sins are forgiven by Christ, so did Christ abolish those laws? Yes, they were shadows of him, did he abolish The Law? By No means!
    16. ForeverFaithful
      ForeverFaithful
Again those mentioned that are unchanged are the laws written in stone, eg ten Commandments

Jesus abolished Moses' laws on the cross, being our passover lamb, we no longer kill for our sins to be forgiven, Jesus would never have told a Leper to sacrifice to after he already died

The Ten Commandments were not abolished simple (Daniel 9-10) shows a distinction between God's law and Moses's law, in the Old Covenant. I struggle to see anywhere in the Bible were Moses' laws are mentioned as eternal or were the laws of Moses are said to be the direct word of God as the Ten Commandments are
    18. ForeverFaithful
      ForeverFaithful
He came to complete The Law, and only Ten were written in stone. Christ did preach that their was one God to be worshipped
    19. ForeverFaithful
      ForeverFaithful
But he goes on to complete the Ten Commandments, not the Laws of Moses, he mentions nothing about keeping Passover and circumcision. but he amplifies "Thou shalt not commit adultery" and "thou shalt not murder"
    20. ForeverFaithful
      ForeverFaithful
If you look at Christ teaches he magnifies the Ten Commandments and "completes them" he does nothing to complete the laws and judgments of Israel or complete ceremonial laws as they are just "shawdows" of Christ
