  • I agree with your idea but what do you think my friend and relatives would think of me if they see am attending prayer services one month in church and another month in a mosque? Frankly speaking, they will think am insane, won't you think so yourself? I need to make a choice before everyone start thinking negative about me if am going to incorporate your idea. Remember no man is an island of himself; we need partnership and respect with other members of our community, won't you agree?
    That's good. :)

    Why not try them out for a month or two each, see what you think? This is something that I've been told to do, but I haven't managed to apply it yet.

    For example, try for one month not eating pork, drinking any alcohol nor smoking, waking up for early morning prayer, and just generally learning and living like you were a Muslim.

    And for the other month, try reading the Bible, praying 'the Christian way', eating pork, drinking alcohol, stuff like that.

    It's up to you if you want to go to mosque and church during the month that you do it. I personally wouldn't though.

    Best of luck! :)
    I wouldn't worry about your Arabic right now - if Islam is your thing. It probably would not take too long for you to learn some of it.

    Best of luck with the test! It'll be good to know what you're closest to believing in. :)
    Hi SG2009. I just thought I'd ask you since you are on the same boat as me of not knowing what religion to follow, what do you believe at the moment?

    What I would do if I were you is write them down, then compare the beliefs to the religions themselves. I think you have a similar problem to me though, where you could accept Muhammad as the last messenger, or Jesus as the son of God, etc, right?

    By the way, have you ever tried the Belief-o-Matic test? If not, try it here;
    Belief-O-Matic - Beliefnet.com
    This is a quiz you do tries to say how close you are to X and Y religions. It might be worth doing. :)

    I wish you the best of luck in your journey. :)
    Thanks for the warm welcome, it is kinda cold where i am LOLOn you first message, No, I was not cuting-n-pasting, but rather everything i drafted is congested into one paragraph...
    I have no idea why it would do that, unless you're copy/ pasting. You should probably start a thread in Site Feedback.
