Thanks again. I need to study stuff; but at least now, I have an idea what to study... besides philosophy. We hates philosophy... it burnses us. :D

If human consciousness is an emergent property --- exactly!

By the way, I love it that you read my blog these days since I've always been a fan of yours. I posted something today, however, that I want to make an especial effort to call your attention to. It's here.

I think it's a fascinating thought experiment if nothing else... if human consciousness is an emergent property of our biology... what would an emergent property of the whole universe be.

      That would make sense.

The whole notion of the god(s) as an emergent property of the universe is just downright stimulating. I was talking with Panda about it one day in the chat room. He'd never heard nor thought about it before, and he's normally pretty dismissive of deity. But by the time I got going on it, he was like, "This is such a cool conversation". I think the idea has the power to capture the imagination.

I never wrote a essay or any sort of lengthy post on the subject, so that doesn't help with vagueness. But I think the context was my explaining to some of the resident atheists how I can believe in a "natural" god.

That is fascinating, Wolf! I very, very tenuously recall that you might have mentioned something along those lines to me at some point. But is that a made up memory? It seems it could be. It's very vague.

At any rate, it excites me that both of us are thinking along the same lines. Maybe the time has come for this idea!

Yup! I've even used it here on RF... ^_^

Do you really have an emergent property argument? If so, I'm excited because I've been thinking for sometime that if deity exists there's a chance it's an emergent property of the universe. And it would be so cool if I wasn't the only lunatic in the asylum to think so.
