I adore nature and the wild, being surrounded by forest and hills is my heaven. I consider the natural world to be a holy manifestation of God, to see any ecosystem wrecked by casual indifference let alone by greed or human desperation, to see thousands of animal and plant species die out with increasing rapidity, to see Elephants being machine gunned down into extinction for their tusks and many other terrible things, is more than heartbreaking, it is for me a profound loss, equatable to a little death.
Literally killing our own Mother.

I understand that the course of human development has led it here.

However I think it's high time humans did something about their stone age psychology, because collective scientific power and capacity to alter the environment is way ahead of human ability to manage it responsibly.
