Just dropping by to say hi

I told you all I'd be back for a visit. So here I am. Just popping in to say hello to my old friends here on RF. I see some cool and interesting changes to the site since I was last on. Very cool. The major update in my life right now is that, as of valentine's day, I'm engaged! The wedding...

    I haven't posted in a while...

And I think I've finally figured out why. For a while now I've been trying to pinpoint the reason why I haven't felt like posting. But now I've reached a realization. It isn't any one particular thing. It's a few things. I think the first reason I haven't posted in a while is because I feel...

Gimme Your Gun Or It's No Sex For You!

Jesus said my god my god why have you forsaken me?

My perception is that Jesus is quoting Psalm 22.

    Judaism/ Christianity - Elijah

I'll note that it's interesting that your division of the book of Malachi has no fourth chapter. Your Malachai 3:23 is my Malachi 4:5. Interesting. At any rate, thanks for the scriptural reference. Did you find anything else by chance?

    Judaism/ Christianity - Elijah

I have a question that I was hoping some of the other Christians or even our residend Jewish members could answer. Why do the Jews look so highly upon the prophet Elijah? It's not like I don't think he is important, but I have a reason for asking. There is relatively little written about...

    New Testament Geneologies...

No problem. Sometimes I enjoy a little tangent here and there. :)

    New Testament Geneologies...

You personally nay not, but someone else might. 2 Samuel chapter 7 contains the promise God makes to David that his descendant will establish an eternal kingdom. So, you may have complete faith that Jesus is the Christ, but the fact remains that his geneology needs to be established so that no...

    New Testament Geneologies...

Not wanting to hijack another thread, but still wanting to discus this tpoic, I decded to start this thread. In the thread about Jesus getting married, Michel posted the following: I don't mean to pick on you, brother Michel, but I myself can find at least one reason as to why the author...

    Christian - Baptism

You make a lot of claims. Care to back any of them up scrpiturally? At any rate, I'll agree that He may not need any of it, but could you not say that God wants some of those things for us? I would say that the lone fact that God doesn't inherently need them is not sufficient reason to avoid...

    Christian - Baptism

You've called baptism a human created ritual before on this thread. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I can't see why you think that baptism was somehow invented by humans. Especially in light of the fact that Jesus told us to do it and even went through it Himself. I hardly think Jesus would...

    Pronunciation.

My mouth hurts after trying to say that. I can Americanize it and say it pretty well, but with the rolled "r" (as I am assuming it is pronounced) it makes that much more difficult for my american mouth to say. As far as Jainism goes, I would say that yes, you pronounce it quite correctly.

    Christian - Baptism

Not at all. I was merely expressing my belief and opinion about what you said. You made the claim that God gives his blessings to all regardless, so I then stated why I don't believe that. I meant most people who practice the act of baptism in one form or another. This question is the reason I...

    Christian - Baptism

Sorry, but I don't buy that. According to the Bible (if you'll notice, this is a Christian/Bible-based thread. That doesn't mean you can't participate, but I wanted to see scripturally based arguments), God does expect love and obedience in return. He is not going to allow just anyone into...

What is your opinion on this relationship?

Buddy If each of you is truly ready and willing to give what the other needs, then I don't see a problem with an age difference. If you can and want to give her what she needs, and she you, I see no problem.
