  • Thanx for the lobbying-combined-with-supporting & the penny-&-pound frubies!
Just so you know....I ain't hit'n on you.
You are a very kind hearted person, you know that? You made my night with your thoughtful profile comment. Thank you. :)
    Hi Kat!
I was just wondering, why to Mormons call your place of worship a Temple? I always thought that Christians associated that word with 'pagan' religions. Now I realise that the term is used across various Christian denominations but it puzzles me a little.

Actually, our regular places of Sunday worship are just called churches. Anyone is invited to worship with us in our regular Sunday services, there are literally thousands of these churches around the world. Temples, of which there are only about 140 or so, are used for special instruction and for marriages, etc. Only "temple-worthy" LDS can enter them. (I think I'm running out of room!)

It's actually a great question. Why don't you ask it in the LDS DIR where I'm not limited by space.
Don't want to jump in your LDS thread but I agree with the Bishop that you're awesome...such a good example for religious folks in general.
Trying not to freak out quite yet, but feeling very, very lost!

Katzpur...if you are speaking of the new layout, I agree. Looks very nice but navigating will take a bit to feel comfortable.
Okay, my jaw literally hit the floor with that news! Which sect and how can you be part of a Christian sect and not be a theist?
Oh, came out of the seminary school few months ago. I've been converted to another christian sect for quite some time and yeah, found out that I'm not a 'theist' after all.
Oh, it does (the tract/pamphlet thing), unfortunately. Not as common as toothbrushes and other such stuff, but it's been known to happen. Certain houses, certain places, slipping in religious paraphernalia and info into candy buckets on Halloween instead of candy. Real "'tis the season" and all I guess.
