I'm not sure if we can fail it. We'll figure it out as we go along, and he's pretty lenient. He allows us to have basically any opinion we want so long as we back it up. So, he will most likely leave it to me to determine what I consider "philosophically pure."

I have no idea. Is it symmetry? Is it a structure that spreads out in random directions like the way philosophy branches off into various forms of thought, but still with some holes?

I just finished reading the Donnie Darko Book over the weekend, which was okay, and a little interesting, but what I enjoyed much more was Tuesdays With Morrie, which I finished yesterday. I absolutely loved it!

Fair enough, I can see why. Just remember that not all atheists use science and material reasoning to justify their atheism. Some can just disagree with the philosophy surrounding, and the concept of, God. And there are many other reasons, too.
Atheism specifically means that you do not believe in God.
It does not mean you do not believe in love or anything else that is not God.
Atheism only defines that one lack of belief. Don't confuse it with anything else.

I also remember him preaching not to judge others, but by refusing to vote for an atheist candidate without knowing their policies, personality, or stance on the issues, then I would say your interpretation of Christianity is not as pure as Thomas Jefferson, or Jesus, would have hoped.

Personally, I would rather do something to either help immigrants or struggling Americans and feel the burden of taxes than have our country go to war, harming others, and stacking up trillions in debt that are looming over...
