Also a jewish woman brought up a good point about Judas being used as the primary reason for anti-semitism. I think thats probably one of the most significant things that can come of this.
We've been discussing this on another forum. The majority of Christians automatically dismiss it because "if god wanted it in the bible it would have been there already".
Others said that it wasn't possible becuse Judas was foreordained to betray Jesus (this happened to be an LDS girl)...
Aren't we all just assuming? Unless there's been a recent discovery I'm unaware of. Obviously this person is going by what many christians understand the bible to say. That is why my response was specifically about that particular version of god and heaven.
Of course the OT and NT only so far as they are translated correctly and you have your handy JST translations and footnotes at the bottom of the KJV to direct you to the BofM, D&C and POGP to help clarify what is intended in each verse.

From the Tao Te Ching
When people see things as beautiful,
ugliness is created.
When people see things as good,
evil is created.

Dakota, the divinity of Christ is vital to many christians' view of their religion. Were he to be married or have children or be *gasp* human their faith would crumble. So while some people (lds perhaps) might look to prove WAS married (after all, it's part of the plan of happiness *wink*)...
Hey There!
As I understand it, as man is god once was but so long ago it may as well be never (head hurt yet?)
While we progress eternally (assuming we have our ordinances in order and have memorized the signs and tokens to enter the kingdom when we are pulled in) and eventually achieve...
Just one point if I may. I'm certainly not an evolutionary expert.
The ONE thing that I see people most often lose sight of in a creationism vs. evolution debate is this:
Evolution does NOT address the origin of life. Evolution ONLY addresses how life ...well...evolves since being in...
I have to disagree. My anxiety about death (which could be gripping at times) has dissipated very significantly scince ditching the christian theology.
And no, it doesn't sound wonderful. At all.
I don't want to go to heaven. Spending eternity as a worshipping subject, even in utopia or paradise is just not my cup of tea!
Sometimes I am afraid of dying. Most of the time its just not on my mind.
But definitely no christian version of heaven for me.
