  • Oh I can empathise. If I were to practice Islam, it would be quite hard for me too. Maybe it's part of why I'm not practicing but I realise also I've got to think about the afterlife and pleasing god.

    Well maybe that's where I'm going wrong, I don't have a commentary. I use Sahih International translation because it's in modern English (no "thou" sort of words) and I find it overall easier to understand than the others I compared it to.
    That's great! It's nice that your questions got answers. It's hard, I know the struggle.

    I'm reading some Qur'an at the moment. I'll see where that leads me. I'm not going to say that I'm going back towards Islam, since I've gone back and forth so many times. I have no idea what's going to happen but I give it a try.
    I know how it feels to be between religions, my advice is keep a journal (or a document on pc) of your thoughts and try to write down what you believe in, what resonates as true to you.
