The Revelation has nothing to do with our day. Like Daniel, it is a book of apocalyptic hope that was written in the context of their times - and failed. As stated by others, there is nothing permanent. In the future, many of our governments might still exist in name only.
Of course the Global Flood is a myth. To believe in it requires a complete disbelief in science. Not just mathematics, but geology, biology, anthropology, and modern physics which is the cornerstone of our technological world. If the Global Flood really occurred I will never travel by plane...
We seem to forget that God only needed a sample of the body plans of all living things on the ark. He then used a very fast form of evolution to give us all the species we see today, in only 4,000 years.
Evolution with a vengeance explains why creation is true. Ironic?
They must also report to their congregations how much time they spend on a monthly basis preaching to others. In most cases they can only count the time they 'minister' to those not baptized as JWs. If a certain amount of time is not met on a regular basis, it is a flag to those leading that...

17 But if you call yourself a Jew and rely upon the law and boast of your relation to God 18 and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you are instructed in the law, 19 and...
In the book "Is there a Creator Who Cares About You?" by the JW's on page 9 it states "...that one who possesses 'intellectual honesty' is characterized by a readiness to scrutinize what one believes to be true' and 'to pay sufficient attention to other evidence available.'"
