End of Days - Is the Islamic Mahdi the Bible's Anti Christ?

Mahdi is not the Messiah. Jesus is the Messiah. "[And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ]."...

    Muslim Reform Movement

Don't like it. To reform Islam would be what we call bidah. And it's a major sin. And a Muslim should not choose secular law over Islamic law. I find it quite interesting that these people said, "We are for secular governance...We oppose institutionalized sharia. Sharia is manmade." There is...

    2001

I lived in New Jersey at that time. Americans in general came together to show their patriotism despite their differences. However, In my experience, there is a certain demographic who were very openly hostile to Muslims and Islam. And in my experience, that demographic still is. I think part of...

Are there single fathers, who never married, with children in the West?

In the current case, women have power over men. A woman can kill a man's child without his consent. Or she can bring his unwanted child into the world and make him pay for it for the next 18-22 years. What I'm saying is, if a woman doesn't want to carry a child for 9-10 months, then maybe...

Are there single fathers, who never married, with children in the West?

I disagree. If I only had one child, my husband would have to pay over $1,000 a month. The women who make "careers" out of this know which men to look for. I have someone in my family who got 30,000 a year in child support from 2 different men for 3 children.

Are there single fathers, who never married, with children in the West?

Well, so can the women, can't they? So I guess the women are being taken advantage of. They made the choice to have unprotected sex. Deal with the consequences. For the record, my first child was out of wedlock. I never asked for child support. I took care of her myself the first 2 1/2 years...

Are there single fathers, who never married, with children in the West?

MY post doesn't paint women to be any way. My post was the other side. I was replying to the comment that men take advantage of women.

Are there single fathers, who never married, with children in the West?

I hate this. I think the father should have the same rights - if that's the right word for it. I mean, if a woman can decide to abort her child despite the father wanting to keep it, then why can't a man walk away from all responsibility for that child if the mother decides to keep it? Or if...

Are there single fathers, who never married, with children in the West?

Speaking from the US, women often exploit men. Getting pregnant purposely then collecting child-support checks. I've personally seen this scenario a LOT. I know several women who continue to have children out of wedlock with different men so they can collect the full child support from each man...

Looking for Merchant of Venice help

What it says to me is that man's base human desire for revenge is stronger than his spiritual desire to stick to his religion. Is that necessarily a character flaw? Some people would say no.

Free will vs. predestination: Which are you?

While I'm in the "both" category. For example, when you die is preordained. How you die is based on the choices you make.

Looking for Merchant of Venice help

Well, yeah. He has plenty of character flaws I think. He is greedy and selfish and prejudiced...but...why? Is his disgust of the Christians a result of how he is treated by them? Perhaps it speaks to how far one will go for revenge? IDK

Looking for Merchant of Venice help

Don't take this as the right answer, because as I said, I haven't read shakespeare in over 20 years. But I'm thinking (1) he hated how Christians wasted money. So here was an opportunity to have them waste their money on him. (2) Wasn't the loan Shylock gave to Antonio actually for Bassanio...
