    humanity beginning theory at atheism

It is suggested that hermaphrodites suffer an energetic cost because they maintain two reproductive systems and a cost due to the reduced number or viability of offspring which may result from accidental self-fertilization. These costs will result in a disadvantage to hermaphroditism (compared...

God isn't real. Prove me wrong.

Trying to justify the existence of a god with a nebulous, transcendental mindset doesn't accomplish any intellectual work. You can make anything seem to exist by blurring the lines of it's definition enough. What I am pointing out is that some subjective/imagined things can be a more powerful...

Is evangelicalism slowly evolving into a cult?

The evangelical Christian message is loud and clear. They care for no one but themselves. Their devotion is to the version of Christianity they have created, which calls for ruthless abandonment of immigrants, women, children – even their own – and anyone else who doesn’t fall inline with their...

    Quantum consciousness and afterlife

We don’t know exactly how some things in quantum physics work, we don’t know exactly how to go from the brain to consciousness, so maybe consciousness is quantum. The term is usually reserved for the deeper processes that rely on the quantum state. The quantum state is where entanglement lives...

Are Merely "Religious" Experiences of God Distinguishable from Psychosis?

I believe the world's religions originated in the psychotic episodes of people with diseased brains. Mormonism: was started by John Smith, a professional con man. He was by all accounts not “off his meds” on a psychotic bender during his creation of that religion. Islam: was started by...

Is Faith/Religion needed to live -- my analysis of Jordan Peterson

Of course people can live purposeful lives, if they are sufficiently fortunate. Anyone who has enough to eat, who lives in a society that tolerates a modicum of personal freedom, who has educational and employment opportunities, who is not condemned to a life of torment, and so on. Biological...

Is modern science informing us of a spiritual reality?

Science can and does explain consciousness to an extent, and will do more of that in the future.

Is modern science informing us of a spiritual reality?

Observation of experiment. and the development of falsifiable hypotheses, and the relentless questioning of established views—have proven uniquely powerful in revealing the surprising, underlying structure of the world we live in, including subatomic particles, the role of germs in the spread of...

    Political Christian Morality

Your simply making things up like our President does. You might want to actually read the law of 1997. No federal law required or suggested the family separation policy announced by Attorney General Sessions in several sets of remarks during April, May and June of 2018.

    Thank you atheists...

I'll never understand how someone can abandon logic and reason for faith. Arguments that heavily rely on reason that ultimately require faith, abandon reason. Appeal to faith is always a fallacy when used to justify a conclusion in the absence of reason.

Why Are so Many Americans Fundamentalists?

In the 1950s and 1960s, the U.S. had a broad range of conservative, moderate, and liberal churches. The sorts of people who used to attend moderate and liberal churches have stopped attending entirely, or started attending conservative churches, while conservative churches have been growing. So...

Isn’t Atheism a world view without reasons and arguments?

Atheism is not a world view. Is not believing in Santa Clause or the Easter bunny a world view? But I would argue that in general, atheists will hold a world view.

Why don't you believe in God/s?

My top 5 reasons 1. No evidence and illogical 2. I've been good, and life has been good without the concept 3. Humans are insignificant in the vast sea of the universe 4. Life itself would be more disturbing if god existed. Preponderance of suffering etc. 5. Life is material, Not supernatural

Why are you not an atheist?

The logical evidence you have that you exist as a self-aware being is your conscious experience of thinking about your existence.

Why are you not an atheist?

There is no logical reason to believe in God or the afterlife. There are emotional reasons, certainly, but I cannot have faith that nothing is something simply because it would be reassuring. I can't believe in god any more than believing in invisible monkeys.
