Oh ok. That's pretty cool. I was just wondering. I hope to get into WestPoint and become an Officer in the Army.

What do you mean by you are a future soldier? Do you plan to join the Army?

Yeah, there are quite of few people of Asian origin that don't like the idea of "Westerners" taking up a religion from over there. And I can understand why. There are a good amount of Westerners that will just pick and chose thing from they different beliefs from over there(Shinto, Taoism, Reiki, Tai-Chi) and not really understand anything about them. Then there are some people that do wish to learn and understand(like us) and sometime we get looked at weird, lol.

Cool, I heard about it from a Japanese friend of mine when I was in Job Corp and it fit what I believe to(more then other beliefs). At first it felt weird referring to myself has Shinto(not being of a Japanese origin), but he side that one didn't have to be Japanese to be Shinto. ^_^

Welcome to the forum friend. Your the only other person here that refers to oneself as Shinto. My I ask if you grew up around Shinto or how did you come to discover it?
