If Jesus was God, Is the Christian God no more?

Regarding physical death, when your spirit leaves your body, your body is dead. Jesus (God) is a spirit that DWELLED in a human body, and when his spirit left his body, his body was dead, but his spirit lives forever. It is the spirit that is the real "you"...not the body.

    Jesus is not god

On the Christian view, Jesus BECAME human. So God BECAME human, which is entirely within his power and not contrary to traditional monotheistic theology. Just like it was stated above, Jesus BECAME human, just like Phil 2:5-9 indicates...so he was a man. No problems there.

A quick question about Christianity , homicide and afterlife

Just curious, why does the scenario have to be "if someone kills you"...why can't it just be "if I die one day, what will happen to an atheist like me, according to the Christian faith?" That is for God to judge, although you've made it very apparent that Jesus never existed, so I mean...hey...

How certain are we that Jesus was historical?

Yeah, it is a double standard at its best.

How certain are we that Jesus was historical?

No doubt. Paul's letters are early stuff...with the earliest letter dated 20-25 years after the cross. Also, you mentioned that he wrote to various churches/cities throughout the Empire, which is a testament to how much and how far the word spread, starting from Jerusalem.

How certain are we that Jesus was historical?

First, learn the difference between your criterion, and the criterion that actual historians use to draw historical conclusions, and once you do that, you will find yourself all by yourself, because even the most radical skeptics agree that the Apostle Paul is historical, and that Jesus of...

How certain are we that Jesus was historical?

And I'd really like to know your criterion for separating fact from fiction. No. Well in that case there is no evidence for anything that is considered historical...since everything is based on hearsay. So if there is no evidence that Paul wrote 1Corinithians (which is not disputed among...

How certain are we that Jesus was historical?

First off, I disagree with the notion that there is "no single written testimony by any witness". So I guess we don't all agree with each other.
