Do you think religions are controlling the world?

Those are all governmental ideas, not religions. "Secular Religion" is an oxymoron.

Do you think religions are controlling the world?

I think religions are controlling the world. And I mean no offense, but my opinion is that the Abrahamic religions are the most harmful. They preach love, happiness, and eternal reward. If, however, you are devoted to God and God alone. The simple fact that more people have been killed in...

    New Name for UU?

It might get a little confusing at times because Unitarian is a denomoniation of Christianity.

    Satanist groups reinforcing stereotypes?

We have one life to live, make the absolute best of it. I am the center of my universe. I see Lucifer only as a symbol of the quest for knowledge. Knowledge and intelligence are incredibly important to me. The universe is immense, and there probably is power beyond humanity's imagination, but...

    Satanist groups reinforcing stereotypes?

One of Satanism's (at least the form LaVey created) foremost thoughts is "I am my own God". Gods are manmade, so who better to worship than yourself? Theistic Satanism is a different story entirely. And yes, study of the occult is common, but there blatant obsession with evil imagery is...

    Satanist groups reinforcing stereotypes?

Because I agree with the ideas of Satanism, and to me it's like believing Jesus is the Savior but saying I'm not a Christian. I don't mind the term Satanism, nor the somewhat dark imagery, I just wonder why everyone takes it so far.

    New kid in town

Thank you very much for the advice. For me personally, I felt for a while that Lucifer as an angel and Jehovah the Abrahamic God were real, but I grew to view Satan/Lucifer as more of a symbol for knowledge and self improvement than as a literal deity. And atheism fits much more into my...

    Satanist groups reinforcing stereotypes?

I personally find the idea of Satanism as a form of atheism to be quite simple. Atheism, with the added "ideas" of self-love, self-improvement, and not allowing people to boss you around. But how come every single group that claims to be a Chruch or Grotto of Satan, and most agree to the...

    Luciferianism

No offense taken. I agree with that whole-heartedly. "I am my own God".

For me, Luciferianism is about acknowleding God's imperfection and Lucifer willingness to teach us, but as I said over on LHPs I think my beliefs are more symbolic for me. Athiesm is much more appealing a the moment. Anyway, thanks for more greetings!

    Luciferianism

I think I'm starting to lean more towards LaVeyan Satanism, as opposed to Theistic Satanism/Luciferianism, because the existence of deities in general are sketchy for me right now. Demiurge or not. My beliefs about "Lucifer" sound much better in a symbolic context. I think I kind of said...

    Luciferianism

I am glad this thread is here. I have some views on Lucifer, and I was wondering if my thoughts are common amongst Satanism or Luciferianism. I think that the Abrahamic God (Christianity/Judaism/Islam/Bahai/etc. etc.), who I usually refer to as "Jehovah" to differentiate Him from other...

Thanks for all the nice replies! Yup. Just wanting to know more. Yes. I simply love Japanese culture, and Shinto is a very beautiful religion.
