  • I'm really good! Haven't been here for ages. Made some big changes in the past few months. How are you?
Well since I'm married I'm kind of stuck here. Unless by some great chance my husband has a change of heart...
Your assumptions are probably right. At the very least it's more liberal but I've seen some scary things in the past few years. More recently the "Charter of Values" of Quebec. Even though it didn't go through (mainly because people in Quebec aren't all phobics and anti-religious) it's scary that something like this was proposed.

Yeah the NHS was a great step forward. But I had a few issues with it, mainly lack of service and support for mental health and your dentists aren't as good, sorry. :p

And thank you, I spent a lot of time watching English TV, playing videogames and chatting online, so it helps. English at school was pretty much useless! :D Spoken bit improved a lot living here. Also, I admit that I didn't always understand what people said because of various accents but it's a lot better now.
UK is more interesting with its rich history, architecture but I don't like British culture much and the classicism. You get a lot of diversity, which I like and a lot more different kinds of products. The roads are nicer to drive too, with roundabout and I love the transport system in the cities... Oh and their taxis, phoneboxes, mailboxes and buses. :D

Canada has a prettier and more diverse landscape, cheaper living costs (except for food and things like internet) and I like the distinct seasons. I loved swimming in lakes. I don't miss the very cold you get at winter but I loved snow and the hot summers. It's more laid back too.

I'm not sure, they both have their good and bad and probably equals out... But because my family is in Canada then I say I'd rather be there. At the very least, I would feel less lonely.
I lived there all my life before moving to the UK a few years ago.

Well, the culture is different as it is based on French culture. In Quebec the main language is French, you have a few little bubbles of English. It's got a bit more of a European feel while my observation of the rest of Canada felt like US "lite".
Thanks for the frubal, yeah I feel the US has this sort of mentality and it gives them a skewed perspective on reality, as their country is the best!

I don't view my country of birth (Canada) as perfect thus I've got a level headed view of it and not blind patriotism and loyalty to it. To recognise the faults is the first step to making things better.

I don't have loyalty to any country in fact, only Earth.
It's Scarlett Johansson and she is a babe, in this pic she has black eyes, so an alien type babe.
    Thanks!
It has the same reputation here too, and quite deservedly. The only differing aspect here is price, in that the car is a bit more on the expensive side, when considering the candidates i'd prefer. The older ones are quite within my price range, but the interior tends to be way too bland.

Interior is pretty important to me because i drive a lot, and a bad one really makes me hate the car. But come to think of it, i think i can start looking more into this one. As there could be a model with at least a decent interior, while still within a reasonable price range, if i look hard enough. There's almost always someone willing to compromise a bit on price, when it comes to used cars. You just have to be patient. Even if it ends up slightly above what i intended, it'd be quite a reliable car to get, and easy to sell.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
Right now, almost definitely the practical one. I'm just stalling. :D

Also, i'm kinda hoping to be surprised with a car i had totally forgotten about or something. So i'm looking pretty intensely.
The main things i liked about that car are it's look, it's capabilities for it's price and the big and rather nice interior. I'm within a certain price range, looking in used cars, and in that price range, the Vectra totally smoked all other cars. It's only downside is being low and being harder to sell than other cars (which is probably among the reasons for why it's cheaper in comparison).

The main other candidate right now is the Mitsubishi Lancer Puma, which is a bit of a bore but a pretty decent car. It's more expensive though, as it's wildly successful here. Which is hard to accept, given that i think the Vectra is cooler.
Yup, that's the one. There are a few good candidates, though one problem i'm starting to worry about is that it seems too low for the streets in Egypt, lower than i originally noticed.

Streets are messy here, and road bumps are usually horribly constructed. So having a low car could be quite a problem. I'm starting to consider other possibilities.

Which sucks, cause i really like that car. :D
Thanks, that's really nice of you to say, I have no hard feelings either. I know I don't always explain myself very well.
