Should a woman have to see a sonogram before receiving an abortion?

Just because abortion is part of the choice doesn't make it wrong.
What happens to those babies is more important than if it lives or dies before it is a child.


I wrote that in another forum and didn't get anything back on it. These are fights that I have heard from both sides.

I feel that if the woman wants the abortion, No man should be allowed to stand in her way. Especially if he has nothing to do with the baby in the first place. I would rather see a woman get an abortion then see her give birth and beat the child or leave it for dead in a trash can.

I would love to see the picture of the cow of the steak I am about to eat.

Actually I only eat beef from the cattle I raise.

I guess reality is too sever for some folks.

Good for you.
I personally could care less about my food or how animals go about becoming my food.

To force somebody to see a picture of something they have chosen to kill is cruel and spiteful.

As silly as this sounds I'm going to say it again seeing the amount of men in here. If and until men stand up and take responsibility for the children that they help make and quite laying all the blame for the unwanted pregnancies on the women, they need to stay out of this decision. Them being in on this is like women saying that men should have to go to the gym and exercise for a minimum of 2 hours everyday. And yes that is the same because if this woman is forced to keep the baby it is a full time job with little to no vacation.

If we want to talk about seeing a picture of a cow before you eat steak, everyone who eats steak should visit an abbatoir, and see a cow get knocked, (killed) skinned, and carved up to make steak, and all the mess that is removed and discarded in this process.

I have - it was very educational, and I still eat steak at least once a week.

Does anyone believe the President should attend every funeral of dead servicemen?

This is probably infeasible, but it would be a good thing.
I also think the only place war should be declared is in front of the war memorials.

To me this is pointless question. A women should never have a abortion, Period!

That question is like asking should I medically examine my child before I grotesquely have him murdered.

That is very easy for you to say you are a man. You do not have to deal with what a woman does when she is pregnant. There is nothing that moves and kicks in your belly ever. I'm sorry you have no right to make choices for me.

Not every woman that get's pregnant does it by making bad choices. Sometimes things happen, such as rape, but also they are taking the pill, and using a condom and the condom breaks and for some reason (drug interaction or what-not) the pill also fails. Now this woman continues taking her pills because she isn't pregnant she's on the pill. Well with the pill you may or may not stop your with drawl bleeding when a pregnancy develops (you don't have a period on bc you have a withdrawl from the hormones in the pills that cause you to bleed).

I don't think abortion should be used as birth control but damn it where do you draw the line and say enough is enough?? By banning abortions we will go back to the back ally abortions (Yes they did happen, and NO they weren't doctors who did them) and more women will die. Then you also will start having more and more babies turning up dead in dumpsters, parks, woods, lakes, and anywhere else that these women who were forced to carry the child find to leave it.

Oh I'm sorry but It should not be up to you to take the innocent life of your child and grotesquely murder it for convenience sake. That innocent child does not have a "Choice" to be murdered or not. He just is. Can't you see how sick that is? So what if a person is raped, does that still give her the right to grotesquely murder her innocent child. That child didn't rape her. That child did nothing. Do you see how selfish that response is? I do know women who were raped and kept their babies or gave them up for adoption. Lets put the shoe on the other foot. Lets use your own logic. So if someones does something horrible to me, and for some reason you remind me of that when I see you, does that give me a right to murder you? Because that is what you are saying essentially. There is no logic to that thought. its sense less grotesque murder of the innocents and at 4000 babies a day , its the new holocausts as John Paul II compared it to.

One, it is not a child until after birth. Until birth it is a fetus.
Two, it is not murder because abortion is legal.
Three, your incorrect usage of the terminology is nothing other than an appeal to emotion tactic. Just like the idea of having a mother see a sonogram before aborting is nothing more than an appeal to emotion tactic.
Four, your analogy fails because you are comparing a legal action (abortion) to an illegal action (murder).

One: If it not a child then the pictures of a aborted fetus sure look like a murdered child, and not just a cluster of non human-life. And you have no way of knowing if it is or not. Your going by your own assumption. If its not a baby then shes not pregnant is she? Simply coming out of a womb doesn't make a person a person. Being in a womb doesn't change the substance of what that child is. Funny because in court if a person hits a pregnant mother in the stomach and the baby dies, then that person is seen as guilty of murder, but when its done by a doctor, its seen as not murder. LOL! Illogical!

two: If you do not want to call it murder then fine. Its the grotesque and vile killing of a unborn human life. I guess legality really makes this difference huh? So if it became legal tomorrow to murder you because I simply want to then I guess I wouldn't be murdering you? Was Hilters killing of the Jews Murder?

three: You are human and emotion is part of your human response to actions. We are not just robots or vulcans. However logically the argument does not make sense either as I have shown above in my other post.

four: Your just grapsing at straws really because you do not want to admit to yourself that you are wrong. That is fine. So be it. Hitler didn't think he was wrong for killing the Jews and catholics the way he did. We can try to justify any unmoral murder/killing by simply beating around the bush and denying the obvious. Abortion was illegal back in the fifties and sixties. So I guess by your definition it was murder back then but now is not. Gotta love that logic!
