What Does Passover/Easter Holyday/Holiday Mean To You?

I go to church and pray and meditate on what has been happening (once and eternal salvation) often between Passover Sunday and Easter Sunday. I do the whole Maundy Thursday thing, though I'm not scheduled to get my feet washed this year (but hey, it could happen!). Then Friday I do the veneration of the cross, which I love. Sometimes I also do the stations of the cross. Saturday I pray often as I think about how Jesus was dead that day. Then Sunday (Easter Sunday) is a celebration - a very long church service where we, the congregation,, participate in killing Jesus but then He rises. this is also the day that converts come into the church and are annointed with oil. Then I have a big dinner with family and/or friends. It's an interesting week. What about you?
You seem to be a little confused. Easter is dated according to the pagan feast of Astarte, which the "church" calls Easter, all set in place by the 325 A.D. Council of Nicaea, which was convened and presided over by the Roman Emperor Constantine, who is the "beast with two horns like a lamb", who was to "deceive" "those who dwell on the earth" (Revelation 13:11-14). Passover occurs on the 14th of Nissan, and happens on various days of the week, and so happens to fall on Wednesday this year, and according to the chronology, it happened on Wednesday around 2023 years ago.
You might consider Easter the "most sacred day of the year" because when I went to Parochial school in the 1950s, it was taught that if you missed going to church on "Easter", you went to hell. They also taught that all the Protestants went to hell as well.

It was Israel that was delivered from Egypt. Judah only represents a part of Israel. The house of Israel, represented as Ephraim, was a major part, along with Judah, which were dispersed "among the nations" (Ezekiel 37:15-24).
I didn't say Judah. I said Jews. The word Jews is not a reference to the tribe of Judah. It is a reference to the KINGDOM of Judah, which the Babylonians called Jews when they went into captivity. So who lived in the Kingdom of Judah? Originally it was three tribes: Benjamin, Judah, and Levi. However, when the Northern Kingdom of Israel was conquered by Assyria, many refugees from the other 10 tribes fled south to Judah. Thus, when the KINGDOM of Judah went into captivity, it included people from ALL 12 tribes. Thus, "Jews" can mean someone from ANY of the tribes of Israel.

What does the Passover/Easter Holyday/Holiday Festival mean to you? What will you be doing as a Memorial to this Festival? Do you think Elohim/God will be pleased with your Festivities?

Are you saying that your church does a Seder meal? I know such things are becoming more popular.
Nada. Our family is of mixed religions. Plus, my wife's and my theology is very, let's say, liberal: one Boss, you know. None of us in our family are fundamentalists or anything close to that.

How about your family?

The term Jew comes from the Hebrew word Yĕhūdhī, meaning a descendant of Judah, one of the 12 tribes of Israel. It included the tribes of Levi and Benjamin after they were separated from the northern 10 tribes, who were known as Ephraim. Judah and Ephraim remain "scattered" among the nations/Gentiles, although a large portion of the Jews (Judah) have been brought back to the land of Jacob. Around 51% of those who identify as Jews, are in the U.S., while 30% are in Israel. and many others remain "scattered" among the nations. Judah and Ephraim remain "scattered" and have not been reunited on the land given to Jacob, under the kingship of David (Ezekiel 37:15-28), and they do not live under the "covenant of peace", as war remains foremost on their minds, and the neighbors of Judah/Jerusalem, remain waiting to pounce of Judah/Jews. The nations remain to be collected against the Jews (Zechariah 12). Those nations include the clay (descendants of Edom) of the feet of clay mixed with iron of Daniel 2:35. It is the "clans of Judah" who will "consume" the "surrounding people", with no mention of Ephraim, who remains scattered among the nations/Gentiles. It is after the "day of LORD" (Joel 2:31-32 & Joel 3:1-2), when the nations are brought to judgement, that Ephraim/Israel will be "gathered out of the nations" (Ezekiel 37:17-24), and the "nations that are left around you will know that I, the LORD have rebuilt the ruined places and planted the land which was desolate". Judah has yet to "acknowledge their guilt" and remain unhealed, as well as Ephraim/Israel, two separate houses (Hosea 5:13-16 & 6:1-2)(Jeremiah 31:31-34). And the "nations"/Gentiles remain uncontrolled until the coming of the king in Jerusalem (Zech 14:16).

How wonderful that you and your wife can share in each others' traditions :)

Passover used to be a big thing for me. I cooked up a storm, and always always had guests. I even typed up my own Haggadah so that the evening would be easy to understand for guests that were new to Passover. Now I'm disabled and live alone. It is hard for me to even go to synagogue because there are days I can't hold up my head. I think this will be the first Passover that I don't attend a Seder. I'll still refrain from leven of course.

You didn't read a word I wrote. AGain, the word Jew (Yehudi) comes from the KINGDOM of Judah, not the tribe. Sheesh, some people are so set in their opinions that they can't hear.

Hey, we celebrate it every year, especially for the food! ;)
Like in the days of Noah, they say eat, drink and be merry for the day is at hand, and if the house owner had known the thief was coming, he would have been ready. But as we all know, they will be taken unawares. (Matthew 24:43)

And what exactly is the house owner supposed to do to be "ready"? Think about end times all day?

I would suggest they "repent" of their sins and start producing "good fruit" (Matthew 3). For Passover is the passing over of the angels of death, and they are on their way back (Matthew 13:30). In their spare time, they might think about putting in a garden and canning their produce for when Har-Magedon hits, when the "cities fall" (Revelation 16:16-19), and when they will have no power and no gas station, credit cards, or community services. Oh yeah, a nine millimeter with plenty of ammunition might be handy, for when their loving unprepared neighbors come to covet their garden goods. For in Isaiah 26:6, "My people" are told to close their doors, until indignation runs its course". In the mean time, they should try to actually read the Law and the prophets, and see what is actually coming down the line. The only "rapture" that is going to happen is with regards to the "tares"/lawless being "gathered" "first" and thrown into the "furnace of fire" (Matthew 13:30).

Isaiah 26:20 “Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.” King James Version (KJV

Judah is one of the "tribes" of Israel/Jacob. Judah is not of the "house of Israel/Joseph/Ephraim, only a tribe of Israel/Jacob. The "Kingdom of Judah" was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar. They have in the meantime been under judgement (Hosea 5) and ruled by and from the kingdoms of Daniel 2:35. Some people are so into their false indoctrination, they don't seem able to read what is written in the Scripture, or at least understand what it says. Israel is not an element of Judah. Any part of Israel that stayed with Judah are considered "companions", and not a single entity (Ezekiel37:16). Israel/Joseph/Ephraim, the "lost sheep (10 tribes)" are at present a separate entity "scattered" among the "nations"/Gentiles. Judah is an element/tribe of Jacob/Israel. Judah and Ephraim/Israel are at this point in time separate entities and will not be joined until David becomes king over them in the land given to Jacob. (Ezekiel 37:15-25), at which time you will have your "kingdom of God", which you do not have at this time. That is the message Yeshua gave in parables (Matthew 13:13), which comes from the Prophets (spirit of prophecy).

I'm going to move on, not because are right, but because I know I cannot convince you. Just know that the rest of the world doesn't share your ideosyncratic definition.

I don't know, according to Yeshua, it is the "many" who follow the "false prophets", and are on the wide path to "destruction". It works for the lemmings, maybe it will work for you, but I don't think so. Keep in mind, it will be the "fat shepherds", the teachers/rabbis of Israel who the LORD will be the first to "destroy" (Ezekiel 34:16) because they neither fed nor healed the flock.

The info is much appreciated.

The Religious Practices you describe are Temporal Rituals/Rites for Elohim's/God's Universal Earthly Church. Temporal Rituals/Rites
commemorating the Historical Yeshua/Jesus maintains the Temporal State and is Powerless Against Sin.

If you Desire to Overcome the World/Temporal Becoming Sinless you have to search out the Deeper Mysteries in, for example, the 14 Stations of the Cross.

I have a close Roman Catholic relative that usually practices Lent for 40 days Fasting from Meat and Alcohol that they habitually consume daily. Will you be Fasting at all during this Holyday/Holiday season?

I will be on Holyday/Holiday for 2 weeks and 2 days during Passover/Easter striving for Total Devotion towards Elohim/God. During this time I Fast, Pray, Study the Holy Scriptures/Bible, Meditate Deeply on the Scriptures, Holy Thinking, Holy Writings, Holy Listening, Holy Watching and Playing Worship Guitar. It is a Monks Holyday/Holiday.
