Damn. That sucks. I'm sorry for your feathered loss.

I'll have chickens eventually. But not just yet. Juggling a lot atm.
It's been a long time now. We would have gotten rid of them later anyway when the bird flu hit. Birds had to be caged then and building a cage would have been too much of a hassle for eggs for two persons.

Before moving to France we had chickens, ducks and geese.
Now our eggs come from a local free range chicken farm.

I think this was the message in the UK too, during and after WWII, given that I can remember us having chickens for some time as a young child - in the London suburbs. The arrival of a cat might have put paid to that though. :oops:
