The guy who hit Paul Pelosi with a hammer has something to say.

So David DePape has an “important message” he wants to get out.

Should the news be broadcasting his message? CNN just did. If you are expecting me to tell you what that message was or put link to it, that ain’t gonna happen.

I just want to ask, do you think they should have done that? This is not about censorship so don’t even go there. He has the freedom to say whatever he wants. But should national news be amplifying his voice? Do they have an obligation to repeat what he said? Or do they have an obligation to not repeat what he said? It would be one thing to describe or characterize what he said, quite another to play the audio.

What do you think?

Some people should be ignored. Unfortunately news agencies often do not understand this.

And at first I was disappointed a bit in CNN, but we all know that Newsmax and FAUX, oops that is the French affiliate, my bad., and FOX News will. I think that having only their biased version out there would be even worse.

How can you know what you're dealing with to adequately oppose if such things aren't made known?

News is all about advertising dollars and it sounds like something that will get viewers. I have no idea what it's about or who those people are but I doubt very much if the news business cares about right and wrong.

How can you defend against something you don't understand? How can you understand something you won't listen to?

Learning to recognize hate, mental illness, evil designs, disingenuousness, etc., requires at least looking at them to try to understand what they are.

If you actually watch the video, when the cops show up, Pelosi is calm and not in distress. When the cops say "drop the hammer", thats when he hits Pelosi.

it looks like Paul was trying to stay calm under some very bad circumstances. You could also see the man breaking into the house in the video.

He could have broke in as a disgruntled lover or whatever.

Its clear when the cops show up, Pelosi is calm and not in distress. When the cops say "drop the hammer", thats when he hits Pelosi.

Seriously? That is just a claim of haters of Nancy Pelosi. The many clearly was not that. You need evidence when pushing such rather vile rumors.

Doesn't anybody notice the sheer thickness of the person on the other end of the call? She should have had warning alarms going off all over her stupid brain!

I'm sorry, this time I have to tell you -- I am appalled at your remarks.

Ok... A guy you don't know breaks into your house.

The cops show up. You go to the front door with the person who broke into your house. Will you be calm and unworried or try to run out?

Pelosi only got worried when the guy raised the hammer.

The video is clear. Its not someones words... Its video

If you're gonna touch this subject (slow news day?), giving the most original source is good practise.
But that is my point. I don’t want to spread propaganda. I am criticizing CNN, and other networks, for repeating deranged conspiracy and violent rhetoric. I am not going to do that.

I usually provide a link, but I absolutely will not in this case.

There is a way to report on this without actually airing a message from a terrorist. His words will only encourage other deranged people to attempt similar acts.
