Why not?Are ordinary people able to be as close to God as a prophet? No.
In the context of wealth, "normal" is the median income of the whole world adult population, which would be ~$900 US monthlyI'm not sure one has to accept the life of a "normal person." to be saved...Whatever normal is..
It can be, but not necessarily.Sometimes it's very hard for a poor person not to be jealous of the rich, so that's just another form of valuing money too much..
is capitalism part of the heavenly ideal? can a rich person enter into heaven?
For the same reason that Jesus explained to us .. we are all sinners subject to temptation. Why not?
If heaven is a place where everyone is self-reliant, responsible, hard-working, productive... I mean what qualities define refined, perfected beings for everyone?
.....Do you believe Abraham was rich? And would he be in Heaven?
Job 42:10-16 for exampleThere's actually quite a bit in the Bible about God blessing people who are Godly with wealth..................
how can a being have many mothers unless reincarnation is true?...................
Why would you ask such a question?
What is it supposed to prove?
Are ordinary people able to be as close to God as a prophet? No.
Temptation .. better not to put it in front of us.
You might think that you are immune to the devil's whisperings,
but I certainly don't think that I am!
I ask God not to give us a test that we cannot bear .. that we cannot pass. Amen.
Hmmm... From when I can recall, the prophets in the bible sometimes were not all that Holy, either. For the same reason that Jesus explained to us .. we are all sinners subject to temptation.
"Sons of God" are extra-ordinary, in as much as they are closer to God than the rest of us.
If you think that you can "make the grade", then fine.
..but my experience is that the closer I get to God, the more satan causes me to fall.
We can only persevere in righteousness, and not be extreme.
Extremes cause imbalance and failure.
I've already said that rich people can, but not necessarily will.LOL... so, what you are saying is that rich people actually can enter into the Kingdom of God.
Got it.
Indeed, some made mistakes .. particularly when they were young.Hmmm... From when I can recall, the prophets in the bible sometimes were not all that Holy, either.
Love is not exclusive to a particular person. You can do all these things and more if you believe.Sure a rich person can enter Heaven if he does Not make his riches as his god. - 1 Corinthians 10:12
When asking for God's Kingdom to come ( thy kingdom come ..... Daniel 2:44-45) we are asking for God's theocratic- ruled government under Christ Jesus for a thousand years to come ! - Revelation 22:20
Come and bring 'healing ' to earth's nations - Revelation 22:2.
Healing to the point that No one will say, "I am sick......" - Isaiah 33:24.
Earth and its people will be happy-and-healthy as described in Isaiah 35th chapter.
Then, even ' enemy death ' will be No more on Earth - 1 Corinthians 15:24-26; Isaiah 25:8
ALL of the ^ above ^ is a good reason to pray to God for Jesus to come !
Love is not exclusive to a particular person. You can do all these things and more if you believe. The failure is depending and believing it's someone else's responsibility. It isn't. Babylon has fallen
And, according to my signature, poor people can also be in Heaven but not necessarily will. It is the heart that makes the difference.I've already said that rich people can, but not necessarily will.
I also have said that the Kingdom of God will be inhabited mostly by the poor.
In other words, we should be extremely careful in our dealings with wealth.
Serving all is not the same as self serving. Meritocracy is based on skill, or talent for being responsible for a lot more than just self. Capitalizing for only self interest isn't the same thing.
No, we should manage our money wisely, whether we have a little or a lot.Can we afford to be careless about something so important as wealth?
How we get it, and how we spend it?
Indeed, it is all about our heart .. our intentions...It is the heart that makes the difference.
Well said.I think self serving and serving others can be the same. But, if I understand you correctly, the example was not capitalism? If so, then perhaps capitalism is not heavenly idea. However, it means also then that it is not necessary a problem, if person becomes rich. Problem can be, if the riches begins to rule the person, because:
No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and mammon
Luke 16:13
