Food Cravings?

Do you ever get food cravings? Are they for specific types of foods? Or a flavor profile maybe?

Lately I've been on a weird kick for vinegar. Pickled everything (sort of kidding). I just at a hamburger that have pickled relish instead of pickle slices lol. I've also been wolfing down pickle slices out of the jar, as well as whole pickled peperoncini.

Pickles have probiotics that are good for your gut bacteria.

If you're never been pregnant then you've never had real food cravings.

I'll often fancy Eskiss café gourmand ice cream, nothing else comes close. It's currently unavailable for some reason which is a problem.

So i dream over a picture.

Cravings are often the sign of a nutritional deficiency. Vinegar cravings could indicate a stomach issue or a blood sugar issue.

Are you pregnant? :D

No, I don't get food cravings. But I sometimes feel like having something specific, if I have not had it for a while.

I do occasionally crave this or that.... doesn't seem to be the same thing, though.

I am rather fond of vinegar type stuff...

Wickles!

I'd never heard of these before, until I read a mention of them in a Stephen King novel (The Institute, in which a character craves them). Now I'm addicted to them. These are "wicked pickles" -- pickle slices that are very hot and spicy, with a slight undercurrent of sweet, if you can imagine that.

I think that Stephen King was wicked to get me (and probably other people) addicted to wickies. I'm sure he knew what he was doing. :p

I like frickles. (Fried pickles). Deliciously crunchy sweet and salty.

Not generally. Sometimes I have a focus on particular things. Right now I'm big into tempeh, but it's not a craving - I don't feel I need to have it.

I have a bit of a sweet tooth, but I keep it under control with stevia and other artificial sweetners. Seems to work for me
