Ah yes, we often a get a spot of Christmas trolling around this time, on science forums.
I like how some people think north means uphill.
I don't even believe in water.
And flat earther's think gravity isn't a pull or force rather a push from above.
I have to stand sidewaysDon’t you all know that Australians are holding onto the ground for dear life?
Ridicule serves a purpose.I get why folk want to laugh at flat earthers. Im not a flat earther but I think we shouldnt laugh at them. That'll only make them cling harder to their belief the earth is flat and continue to deny science. It'd be better to educate. I will say gravity is what causes the stream to flow to its lowest point.
And what purpose does it serve in this case that would help a flat earther let go of their belief the earth is flat?Ridicule serves a purpose.
But plenty of people enjoy trolling. Some enjoy taking on absurd points of view, just to be contrarian. I once read an article on the subject, illustrated in fact by considering the phenomenon of flat earthers. This is one of those occasions where my irony detection ability breaks down. On the one hand, nobody could possibly be that stupid. On the other hand, some people absolutely are that stupid.
