Would anyone be interested in a Yule get together for RF pagans?

Virtual would be cool with me as well. I honestly just made this thread as an idea, don’t know if I’ll do it or not. Winter Solstice aka the 21st is Yule right? I might decide to make one, depending on my schedule :)

Yup it's the 21st!

I'll do a ritual that day.myself, and then I will be free to join in on any virtual festivities.

Others of other faiths are invited if they're reading this! I should've posted this in a more public space. Especially LHP practitioners and Hindus (not sure if they celebrate Yule but it'd be fun)

I'd consider. I'm still bouncing around the idea of going on hermitage this season, which means being appropriately off-the-grid (technology fasting is a thing for me Winter Solstice).

Want me to tag a mod and have them move it? Im sure @JustGeorge would move the thread if you asked.

That’s a neat idea of celebrating winter solstice. Hmm, it might be neat to be away from technology for a couple weeks to a month!

Hindus don’t typically celebrate Yule.
Though there’s nothing in the traditions that says we can’t either. So I’ll join in the fun!!

That's cool! Tech fasts are great. I take them from time to time. How "off grid" would you be trying to stay? And for how long?

It's difficult for me to do it in my own home so what I was thinking about is finally staying a few nights in the hermitages at a nearby spirituality center. It's a very magical place run by a Christian denomination, but they're basically Druids - they specifically focus on nature-centered spirituality. Their hermitages are little one-room homes in the woods powered only by solar/thermal.
