The UK is no longer majority Christian

No, it is not - it is a Christian Nation, in particular Church of England as opposed, to say, Catholic
In Britain, atheists are free to do whatever they like; nobody discriminates against them. It is illegal to discriminate against them. And by the way, the presence of bishops in the House of Lords is irrelevant.

So what word should I use to describe a country which is not dominated by a fading religious mantra

That your religion is metaphysically natural/neutral in effect, but that is not an objective fact and thus is non-science and thus for the demarcation belong to religion. :)

Because it was Andrew Copson saying it, it'll be religious schools funded by the state, our new monarch (Now that's another argument) being 'defender of the faith', our second chamber having 24 Bishops, the unfair influence of the church on matters such as abortion and assisted dying.

Since the U.K. probably has among the most liberal abortion laws in the world, what influence did the church - by which I imagine you mean the CoE - exercise there? And what evidence do you have that euthanasia would be legal here, where it not for the unfair influence of the church?

No we are not.
Religious people can hold marriage ceremonies and sign off the paperwork - atheists can't despite being trained
My daughter couldn't get her children into the local school without having them Baptised.

The Bishops have a large influence, there are no priests, rabbis or non-religious positions.

I do not have a religion despite you constantly harking on about it.
I have no creed, I don't attend services, I have not 'church', I have no sacred books, etc. etc.

Yeah, I know. You use one subjective understanding of religion. I use another. But will you admit that yours is subjective?
Remember that is not debate, so it is not about right or wrong. It is about comparing different positions.

Richard Dawkins was baptized too. He is an atheist, now.
It is not something shameful, being baptized.

I stick with the Oxford dictionary definition of religion which is ...
"The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods"

How atheism or Humanism falls into that description, I don't know.

But the fact that you redefine it to suit your viewpoint does not make your viewpoint more valid

So was I.

BUT you stated that non-believers are not discriminated against, I gave a valid example of where they are, my grandchildren wouldn't be attending that school if they hadn't been baptised.

Was it a public school?

I would encourage folks to
  1. read The Guardian article, and
  2. familiarize themselves with argumentum ad populum.
(It's also an opportunity to add "conurbation" to one's vocabulary.)
