Getting Rid of Demons

I got rid of all my demons when I became an atheist.

Sure, I have a few "spirits", some good, some bad running around my head.
They all went away when I stopped believing in them.

Only a subset of demons seems related to spiritual views.

I’m happy for you that you can un-believe so easily. Most of us can’t. Any tricks you can relate?

Hmm. But aren't demons just personified representations of our own struggles and issues? I think it could be helpful to personify them at times, as long as it's not taken too literally.

I believe that.

So a person could be possessed by a demon, but you wouldn't act on it, because you don't believe in it. That is how your worldview works.
You believe e.g. in free will and then you act as if it is a part of the everyday world and thus not a belief, but a fact.

What demons are you describing here? I think for most people, miracle deliverances are not what they appear to be in the long haul. It usually takes a long time and continual effort to break old habits of the mind.

"Jesus delivered me from all my anxiety", he said nervously bouncing his foot up and down the whole time, for instance. :)

I would not act on it because it is not my job to get rid of demons that possess other people.

But it is your job to judge other people behaviour as if it is a fact, that they have free will and the only standard of doing that is your God. That is what you do in the everyday world to people.

These demons are Sokrates doing. Have you been taught his ridiculous philosophies? At what age?

No, they just no longer need to attack you because you are on their side now.
