There's only been a handful of members I can't develop some kind of respect for over time, even if I don't relate well to them.

Rather than ignore them, I make silent rude faces at the screen when I see their posts.

I have no one on ignore and never have. However, I have simply avoided responding to some people, sometimes for months.

Lots. I don't mind putting people who I wouldn't interact with on ignore. Though a lot of the people I have on ignore have since left RF.

I have just one person on ignore, the only reason being that, as hard as I have tried, I just cannot understand their English,

Well, o course you have none, yer staff.
Flip side is we can't put staff on ignore, which is annoying.
I have a HUGE 'internal' ignore list, as the site ignore list is useless.
If someone on that list creates a thread, you still have to see it. Bleh.
