What Technical Issues Have You Encountered on RF?

Hi, all,

I am preparing to contact the owners of the forum to bring up unresolved technical issues, in order of urgency.

Since the broken search function is perhaps the most widely known one, I'm listing it in the OP. Please post any other technical issues you have encountered so that I can be mindful of them when contacting the owners.

Thank you.

Only the owners can fix technical issues, and none of them are among the day-to-day staff.

I have not received email notification about replies to posts for a couple of months now.

Something about the design of the site that is annoying is that it is hard at times to know what a reply means unless I can go back to the post that is being answered or even to a post or 2 before that in that particular conversation in a thread.
It would be great to have a link in a reply to take us back to the post that is being answered. That would save a lot of time trying to find it by scrolling back, sometimes through hundreds of posts.

If you click the small arrow next to the username of the member whose post is quoted, it will take you back to the quoted post.

There are too many speeling & grammer errors in my posts.
Did you type Grammer errors? I don't see any errors with Grammer.

I didn't know the search function was broke. I click on the search magnifying glass, type some key word, hit search and it pulls things right up.

Unless there is another "search" I am unaware of.

If you go to a member's profile and try to see their posting history (and not through thr "Recent Activity" tab), the software gives you an error.

The search function, post history, etc. Also, lately I sometimes get randomly redirected to another site, but no idea what the site actually is because my antivirus/antimalware blocks it.

Thanks for that.
That's wonderful. I won't look back to all those hours spent scrolling through threads, I'll just be grateful and look forward to all those hours I will now be able to spend sunbathing or bouncing a ball or looking at the stars instead of scrolling back through threads.

When do you get redirected? Are there any specific actions that prompt that?
