Don't do that again.I once ride a dirt bike towards the field where I used to live, and I did this because the field dirt was high enough to ramp off it. Being curious what that's like I hit the gas, hit the dirt ramp, had no idea what I was doing so the front wheel went down, into the freshly tilled soil, and I was flipped over the handlebars.
Dumbest adage of the day.
BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (AP) — A Florida highway had to temporarily close Wednesday after a semitrailer carrying cases of Coors Light crashed and turned the roadway into a silver sea of beer cans.
The multi-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 about 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Tampa, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The pileup began when one semitrailer clipped another while changing lanes, officials said. That forced other semis to brake, but one failed to stop and collided with a pickup truck and another one of the stopping semis.
The semi that failed to stop was filled with cases of the Silver Bullet beer.
Minor injuries were reported by the occupants of the pickup truck, the news release said.
The inside shoulder and travel lanes were opened to traffic by 8:30 a.m., and the rest of the roadway was reopened around noon, troopers said.
It seems that the Tappan Zee Bridge has
been re-named the Mario M Cuomo Bridge.
Ew.
WRONG!!!! The Tappan zee bridge is not the Mario M Cuomo bridge. The Mario M Cuomo bridge is a brand new bridge that cost the tax payers of NYS a whole lot more than originally stated
So? What does not cost a whole lot more? Every get an estimate from a contractor? And if you get a fixed cost bid, you can bet every dollar you have that there's a fudge-factor built in for things going wrong.WRONG!!!! The Tappan zee bridge is not the Mario M Cuomo bridge. I have not, lmao.Don't do that again.

That's why I always have my big rubber duckie with me.....Speaking of bridges, I must confess to having a slight anxiety when it comes to crossing bridges. (Gephyrophobia - Wikipedia)
I think it started when I heard about that I-35 bridge collapse in Minnesota. It was shortly after that event was when I crossed over the rickety old Tappen Zee Bridge, trying to formulate a plan of how I was going to survive if the bridge collapsed and I suddenly plunged into the Hudson. That bridge is 3 miles across, so if I fell in the middle, I might have to swim more than a mile to reach shore, in that dirty, dreadful, polluted muck they call a river.
I've always specified those as fake friends.
3.98 billion and the contractor is insisting the state owes him about 900 million more... and they are already finding the "fudge factor" as you so eloquently put it. However this is about 2 billion less than the original estimate. But then that estimate included an expanded rail service
and to be honest, the original Tappan Zee was put at one of the worst places to cross the river for political reasons
Did the rain wash your brain? My raincoat is very, very dirty. Apparently the rain isn't washing it.
Well, at least it was canned pee and not actually beer.Florida highway covered in Coors Light beer after semi crash | AP News
Another truck crash, and this time it's a beer truck.
I'll bet the cleaning crew for that mess was feeling no pain afterwards.
Apparently caused by an unsafe lane change.
