Please quote the official Baha'i source that says "that needs to be purged from the world."

Sorry, my mistake. It is actually "a shameful sexual aberration that needs to be purged from the world.

Do try to keep up, we are long past that. The actual wording has been established and accepted from Bahai sources. The words differ slightly but the sentiment is the same.

I do not have a dislike of or prejudice against gay people but I believe that homosexual sex is wrong because that is a Baha'i Law, the Law of God.
The UHJ has determined that homosexuality is a flaw that needs remedied. Do you agree? Isn't calling it a flaw/handicap a prejudice?

@Trailblazer
And "a shameful sexual aberration" was how one of those "evil passions" was described elsewhere on the page.

So, although I'm having trouble locating the original verbatim quote (it was a while ago), there is now no doubt that Bahai sources say that homosexuality is a shameful sexual aberration that is to be purged from the world by faithful Bahais.

The possibility that passage of time may have caused a subconscious combining of the two quotes is now irrelevant. The homophobic content of Bahai scripture has been confirmed.

Thank you very much, but that will not work for him, because that is mixing and matching Baha'i Writings to suit his purposes.

There is no official Baha'i source that says what KWED claimed is in the official Baha'i sources:
homosexuality "is actually "a shameful sexual aberration that needs to be purged from the world."

Extracts from the Writings of Bahá'u'lláh

We shrink for very shame, from treating of the subject of boys. Fear ye the Merciful, O peoples of the world! Commit not that which if forbidden you in Our Holy Tablet, and be not of those who rove distractedly in the wilderness of their desires. (Kitab-i-Aqdas, paragraph 107) [1]

Ye are forbidden to commit adultery, sodomy and lechery. Avoid them, O concourse of the faithful. By the righteousness of God! Ye have been called into being to purge the world from the defilement of evil passions. This is what the Lord of all mankind hath enjoined upon you, could ye but perceive it. He who relateth himself to the All-Merciful and committeth satanic deeds, verily he is not of Me. Unto this beareth witness every atom, pebble, tree and fruit, and beyond them this ever-proclaiming, truthful and trustworthy Tongue. (From a previously untranslated Tablet) [2]

Extracts from letters written on behalf of Shoghi Effendi:

...Bahá'u'lláh has spoken very strongly against this shameful sexual aberration, as He has against adultery and immoral conduct in general. We must try and help the soul to overcome them. (25 October 1949) [3]

Be who ever you want
You clearly haven't read the Bible or Quran.
Have you not tried those religions yet?

More often, they do evil deeds out of ideological adherence.
What does "do evil deeds out of ego" even mean? Was it something you read in Bahaullah's gleanings?

Do try to keep up. Sentiments do not matter. Only official Baha'i quotes matter.
You should not make claims about official Baha'i quotes that do not exist, as that is deceptive.
You thought you would fool a bunch of people, but that did not work because some of us know better, and Baha'is know what is in the Writings.

How are those fines harm others?
Do you think that traffic fines harm people?
Fines are punitive punishments. They are designed to "harm" is as far as they have a deleterious effect on some element of the culprit's life, thus causing them to think twice before doing it again.
A fine harms your bank balance. It might also harm your social standing.

"Ye have been called into being to purge the world from the defilement of evil passions [inc. homosexuality]"
"Bahá'u'lláh has spoken very strongly against this shameful sexual aberration"
"Bahá'u'lláh...looks upon homosexual relationships...as immoral and against nature."
"one of the believers who seems to be flagrantly homosexual...should have his voting rights taken away"
"Homosexuality is highly condemned... Any individual so afflicted must seek to overcome this handicap.
"

Any political party publishing these views would be universally condemned and possibly prosecuted for hate speech.
Religion is not a political party and it does not serve the same purpose.
Take a look in the Old Testament if you want to see what it says about homosexuality and the punishments for engaging in the behavior.
