Not a sin anymore???

People can debate without having a pissing contest. Sadly that's all some want.
No, it's what happens when someone mentions nonfiction and someone else mentions fiction to discredit the nonfiction, and without any actual points or reasons offered. That's not a pissing contest, it's rejecting a bad point.
It's like when Riley Freeman ridiculed his brother, Huey, for reading, snidely asking Huey if he believes everything he reads in a book.

I seen many dismiss what the Bible says. That’s nothing new. My challenge is to show when it changed.
I've seen many people dismiss what the Bible says too, like how you're not allowed to wear mixed textiles or eat seafood or keep debts longer than 7 years. At least that's what you would think the Bible is telling you to do if you took very superficial surface readings.

It depends. In the Hunter S Thompson novel Hell's Angels he mentions an Angel getting oral sex, from a man, while he's sitting at a bar and he said he's not gay because he's just getting his **** ****ed and not doing the sucking.
As a straight male, no male is going to **** my ****, regardless.

Now I’m not calling for violence or mistreatment of anyone, but I am challenging those preaching this “other gospel” When did God change His mind on this being a sin?

It’s not the point, Did God change what is or is not a sin?
YES

God corrected the Bible...quite a few times in the past x millenia
Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Bahai, Sai Baba, etc.etc.

Saints, Sages, Enlightened Beings tell a much different story then the Bible

The point is ... you do not want to see this
Still, you expect us to see your Bible

Strange, don't you think?

I have no great interest in arguing the Bible from a Christian perspective because I'm not one and I don't really care about its moral values. However since it's here, and its such a common and frightfully low effort argument, a couple things:

Levitical law doesn't apply to Christians today, the abomination of shellfish is no more or less relevent. Also there are plenty of both Christians and Jewish scholars who implore people to look at those verses with the rest of the chapter for context, since it is often talking about temple prostitution and pedastry, not everyday relationships. Things that actually contrasted against other local religious customs and practices.

Similarly 'strange flesh' isn't male flesh, and certainly not a consensual relationship between two same sexed individuals. But a mob trying to rape two angels. Comparing that to a consensual loving homosexual relationship is monstrous.

Edit: if you actually want reasons and perspective from LGBT friendly Christians there are resources like this to be had leviticus Archives | Bible and Homosexuality
Homosexuality: Not a Sin, Not a Sickness Part II "What The Bible Does and Does Not Say..." | Religious Institute
Most compelling Bible evidence that "gay is okay" AND should not be judged:
1) First Commandment
2) Thou shall not judge

Do you have an actual comment on the topic?
Yes.

If someone were to use only the parts of the bible that tickle his or her own prejudices, why not skip the bible part and go straight to the prejudices? Saves time and lowers the risk of hypocrisy.

If that's wrong, why isn't that person out there killing witches, something the bible specifically orders?

There are lots of religions.

  • IMO.. Either one is right and the rest are wrong or they all just have a piece of the puzzle, or they are all wrong.
Well, they could be all wrong but still have pieces of the puzzle too, and perhaps is why so many can pick and choose as to what they believe - and which might conform to their prejudices, biases, or education/indoctrination or as to their 'intuition'. The one being right seems to be the least plausible - but so often clung to.

And which is why so many will prefer a religious explanation over any scientific one or simple moral reasoning as to sexuality and related issues.

I see people claiming to be Christian who want homosexual behavior to not be a sin
My Bible says:

Thou shalt not lie with mankind … it is abomination, Lev. 18:22 (20:13).
There shall be no … sodomite of the sons of Israel, Deut. 23:17.
declare their sin as Sodom, Isa. 3:9
men … burned in their lust one toward another, Rom. 1:27.
nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 1 Cor. 6:9.
them that defile themselves with mankind, 1 Tim. 1:10.
as Sodom and Gomorrha … going after strange flesh, Jude 1:7.

Now I’m not calling for violence or mistreatment of anyone, but I am challenging those preaching this “other gospel” When did God change His mind on this being a sin?
The Bible was written mostly by heterosexual men who naturally see homosexuality as a "sin". Those religious men then claimed that God wrote the Bible.
