I see prolonging a patient’s life against their wishes to be unethical and ultimately rather selfish. It is Adharmic (immoral) to me
Demanding they suffer for as long as humanly possible, without offering a humane alternative.
Of course people with suicidal thoughts should be helped by mental health professionals. But I would rather allow a person die with dignity, surrounded by friends and family (or even just some nice hospice staff.)

It is a victory of the secular state in a country where the RCC would want to dictate "the rules".
The RCC has different moral pillars, some in diametrical opposition to secular morality. E.g. in their view, suffering is a good thing.

What is the threshold for this?

I think the threshold is the "normal tolerability" which is what we can endure thanks to painkillers and similar therapies. So, it is a very low threshold, fortunately.

Judgment no. 242 of 2019: the Court declared the constitutional illegitimacy of art. 580 of the Penal Code "in the part in which it does not exclude the punishment of those who facilitate the execution of the purpose of suicide, autonomously and freely formed, of a person kept alive by life-sustaining treatments and suffering from an irreversible pathology, a source of physical or psychological suffering that is deemed intolerable, but fully capable of making free and conscious decisions.

It is only start. They will start with:
1. Very ill persons.
2. ill persons.
3. Slightly ill persons.
4. Healthy, but poor, persons.
5. Healthy, and rich persons.
6. Last man standing commits suicide.
To avoid this, there should be mandatory biological testament, where the person attests their own informed consent before the local authority.

I prefer the old good days without this bürokracy.
Catholics believe in Purgatory. Even if this is still considered suicide by the RCC, I think that only God can judge what pushes a person to take that decision. Also because it is a decision that doesn't affect others' life.
Nobody knows how unbearable pain and suffering can be.

He also didn't anything to prevent it, even though he had the chance. I'd call it suicide by Roman.
Jesus has not asked people to murder Him. Jesus has not wanted to die. Evil people have murdered Jesus. Jesus was hoping to save them from Hell and from sin of murdering Godman.
