The FBI has now raided former POTUS Donald Trump's home, the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. I'm confident they will find evidence there showing Donald Trump purposefully incited the January 6th riot against the Capitol!

I saw the story in the news, and another thread was also started on this topic (FBI executes search warrant at Mar-a-Lago | Religious Forums). But I couldn't find anything as to what they're looking for or whether they found it. The only news stories tell what Trump said about it, but no comment from the FBI or DOJ on the matter - not yet anyway.

I don’t know if they are going to find that, but they are going to find something. You don’t raid a former President’s home unless you are very confident that something is there.

And there are so many possibilities.

I think that's a sign that they are doing their job correctly.

An investigation just goes in and gets ish done, w/o broadcasting every step to the media.

It looks like they were looking for mishandled documents. Presidents are supposed to turn over certain documents when they leave office. if Trump did not and they were at his house, then he was guilty of a felony.
Trump was caught with boxes of documents that were supposed to be turned over to the National Archive. Many of those were recovered but apparently there is evidence that not all were tuned over. So Trump had his chance to come clean. If the FBI found documents then he could face this felony, and that would be a crime that disqualifies him for running for any office. Oh boy.

Trump is already complaining about this search. He is not a big fan of law enforcement, unless it goes after minorities.

More than confident, you need to be. First off, you must convince a judge that you have a reasonable justification for such a raid. But in the case of a former president, I would expect that the bar would be significantly higher than for almost anyone else in the nation.

More than that, it should be pointed out that the head of the FBI at this moment is not a Biden appointee, and not a Democrat. He is Christopher A. Wray, appointed by Donald Trump in 2017, so to those right this instant screaming "liberal witch-hunt," I say, bull.

I suspect, quite strongly actually, that there is something very real here, that we'll all know about in due course.

He was taught to always deny, so this should be interesting.

In full agreement.

But as for due course there are two possibilities. Either we are going to learn more about this very soon or we are not going to hear anything till after the midterms. I think the latter more likely.

It will be interesting to see if Trump’s behaviour changes after this. He will know what they got.

I realize there are highly classified U.S. military experimental technologically advanced highly maneuverable long range surveillance drones, I suspect classified documents regarding this top-secret highly maneuverable surveillance drone may have been sought by the F,B.I.

David Rodhe of the New Yorker has said that he has been in contact with members of the DOJ for some time for an investigative book, and they told him they have extremely careful about dealing with any evidence and actions involving Trump, and if Garland made the decision to sign a search warrant it suggests there was extremely compelling evidence.

Apparently Trump has threatened Garland to be careful and "clear his desk" for the coming subpoenas. Trump continues to vilify law enforcement and the law, and has little understanding of the authority it has.
