As for the statistics in Europe. In Poland abortion is mostly illegal (except some cases). Italy and Germany...well...they have also the lowest birth rates ever...so I think there is a very widespread used of contraception in these 2 countries.

abortion is now illegal in the state of Kentucky. Kentucky is one of the top 10 most religious states in the USA. Its of course a Christian majority. It is one of the top 10 poorest states in the union. It is the #1 in abuse and neglect of children.

The potential for life has become more important than life itself.

I have also remarked that in Europe women are more disinhibited when it comes to talking about sex, contraceptive methods and so on.
Americans are much more private about their own sex life in general.

Our puritan ancestors were squeamish about sex and the body. We inherited that attitude. That attitude leads to porn, rape, etc. Using sex as a weapon or something lurid is not a positive.

The poor red states will become poorer with more poor women, and children being born.

I think sex is the most natural thing in the world, and the more people talk about it, the more it is demythologized.

Yes, I'm pretty prudish about it. Can't really change that, it's built in to my genetics or culture or something.

My wife is quite prudish as well, but when we went camping, she turned into "Wild Woman", thus we "initiated" many outdoor locations even though we're not exhibitionists. But we did get seen at least once, but it wasn't by intent.

Malta situation: total abortion ban.

I think Malta is a very Catholic country, hence this ban. But at the same time, the Maltese use lots of contraceptives, so the rate of unwanted pregnancies is pretty low.

Do they education their young about birth control and how important it is?
It is a very touristic country, so there must be lots of young people having fun in several parts of the year.
I think adults might be more responsible than kids. But if teenagers get pregnant, the State will take care of the mothers, by helping them raise their own child.
