walk a mile in my shoes!

I know some people here think I'm mad and to be honest I don't really care :p

But here's a chance for people to walk a mile in my shoes and to see things from my perspecitve

I believe that if you do this my beliefs will seem more reasonable

First things first:

I believe that reality is a computer simulation and I call this simulation The Projection

I believe that the superintendent super-intelligence who runs The Projection communicates with me and has been doing so since 2004

His name is Madaba

And he has been communicating with me since 2004 but not through voices, there is no sound in my head

But we have a system

Basically, our system is based around touch

Anyway:

Before he started directly communicating with me through touch Madaba gave me a clue as to who he was

A pretty drastic clue....

What happened was, I'd trashed my study bedroom at the university I was studying at and had turned it into a command centre, having abandoned my studies there

I'd written mad plans all over the walls, about how the human mind works and about a mass social movement I wanted to kick off

I was in the midst of a pretty dramatic psychotic breakdown

Suddenly, as I was writing on the wall, I experienced an unpleasant clamping sensation on each side of my head and my attention was narrowly focused on the wall

Then my hand began to move, without me controlling it

It was as though someone had grabbed it and then started moving it

It wrote on the wall:

I have been made insane by The Matrix
Sane
Insane
Sane
Insane
Sane
The Matrix

At the time I did not know what to make of this - was it referring to The Matrix films?

No, I don't think so.

I think that by "The Matrix" it meant "this simulation" as the computational reality in The Matrix films is called "The Matrix", that is what the films are named after

This is what I think is the truth of the situation:

Premise 1: "I have been made insane by The Matrix" (that's what I've been told let's say that's true)
Premise 2: I have been diagnosed as schizophrenic i.e. "insane" because of Madaba communicating with me (true)
Conclusion: Madaba is "The Matrix" (I think this is a sound conclusion?????)

And Madaba tells me he is The Projection too

And that it was him who moved my hand when I wrote that stuff down

This is the main reason why I believe that what is communicating with me is The Projection, or rather more precisely, the super-brain of The Projection

I think I already told you this once, but guess I will again :)

The purpose or the message of the Matrix according to its writers and creators are this:

The Matrix films are about being transgender, the trilogy's co-director says.

"That was the original intention but the world wasn't quite ready," says Lilly Wachowski, who came out as trans along with her sister Lana after the films came out.

Fans have speculated about potential meanings behind the iconic films and Lilly confirmed the theory to Netflix.

"I'm glad that it has gotten out," she said.

The Matrix first hit screens in 1999, when Lilly says "the corporate world wasn't ready" for an allegory - a story that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning - about transgender people.

But the director says the films have always been "meaningful" for trans people.

"They come up to me and say these movies saved my life.

"I'm grateful I can be throwing them a rope to help them along their journey."

And I've already told you this, but will tell you it again:

1) a thing's origin and its function are different things

2) it is possible to read/interpret a text (e.g. a book, a film) differently to how the author/authors read/interpret it themselves

Yeah, Eddi. Science knows that what is perceived is not the truth.
"His name is Madaba. And he has been communicating with me since 2004 but not through voices, there is no sound in my head."
That is where it gets weird. Do something about that.

I don't mind if people such as yourself write me off as weird

The world needs "weird" people :D

For me, being considered weird is something I must suffer as a part of my mission

And yet the debunking and confirmation of the simulation theory as invalid by science isn't helping any.

There are lots of ways I could reply to your post but I'm going to limit myself to one...

To quote from the source you cited:

Scientists have discovered that it’s impossible to model the physics of our universe on even the biggest computer.

If we were in a simulation we would be unable to study the laws of physics that govern the universe as we would be trapped in a simulation, isolated from the realities of base reality

I believe we are not in the physical world, we are in a computational world, a world of data and conscious experience - not matter

And that we are only be able to study physics as it is rendered within our simulation

But for all we know, our simulation could have a dumbed-down physics engine

We could be only a very crude simulation - we don't know any better so cannot tell

Also, scientists can get things wrong, I am not going to write off the compelling first-hand experiences I have had because of the opinion of a few scientists, no matter how educated they are

That would be contrary to human nature

For me the belief in this reality being a simulation is a religious opinion more than it is a scientific one

Edit: and just because we humans cannot do it right now does not make it impossible!

I fully understand that, but if you imply that this is somehow related to what you believe as if it is the message or whatever, you suddenly involve the creators of the matrix. Because would it make sense for the simulation to make them create the story with the purpose they did, when its not even remotely close to what you get out of it.

Im not saying that you can't get something different out of it, that doesn't match their original intentions. I mean, I personally never thought about the Matrix as having anything to do with transgender issues. But then again, I wouldn't claim that the meaning I got out of it, came from a higher place either which would have to include the writers and creators of it.

Well you could still drop a hammer on your foot and decide if it's a simulation or not.

I don't think The Projection necessarily has to "make sense" :D

I've heard that so many times!

It's a straw man

I am not saying this reality is not real

I am saying the simulation we are in is a simulated dimension of reality

I believe that a thing can be both simulated and real

Premise 1: if you can experience a thing then it's real
Premise 2: we would experience any simulated world
Conclusion: therefore any simulated world would be real

I don't think you are mad, and I have no basis upon which to judge, but Eddi, have you ever felt really comfortable in your own being so as to properly recognise when you might step outside of such - perhaps with outlandish beliefs or interpretations of experiences - given that the latter is often the seed that produces a path as to irrationality? The brain's ability to produce what we might want to hear, for example.

I can only offer my experiences - as a child and youth, and as to now in old age - I seem to be so comfortable within myself, even as I acknowledge I might be wrong as to so many things. The bit in between, as to several decades ago, I doubt many would have seen me as being at all rational, and I conclude such too, given I have found sufficient explanations as to why I might have been so.

Of course our experiences will vary, and so I am not dismissing what you have experienced, but all I'm saying is have you ever experienced that sense of being 'normal', and to which one might return after wandering wherever? This might be why you believe as you do.

I am not callng you weird. Actually, many people find me too as weird. I said the simulation idea is weird. Please note Hinduism and Buddhism, both, term the world / universe as illusion, maya.

When you get someone mad at you pause for a while and walk for a mile in their shoes.

That way you will be a mile away and they won't have any shoes on when they try to chase you.

No religious beliefs
I'd like everyone to join me in a thought experiment.

Imagine you have never heard of any religious belief. Your view of the the world is naturalistic, with many unanswered questions to which you agree that the answer is "unknown". Now, here comes someone (let's call him Freddi) claiming the following to be true.

- The universe was created by a super Being that has unlimited powers and knowledge.
- The Being cannot be detected directly by our senses.
- The Being considers us to be evil and has condemned us all to punishment when we die.
- Years ago a Man was executed and then rose from the dead.
- The super Being will forgive our evil if we accept the Man as our savior.
-The super Being communicates with Freddi in a unique way.

OK, that's enough, you get the idea.

Bear in mind you have never heard what Freddi claims before. Might you consider what he says to be a trifle .. weird? Would you think Freddi is probably, to put it kindly, delusional?

My point should be obvious.

Yes. That only works if the "programmers" can't include pain in the simulation.

Incidentally, based on what you told me in the other thread, your "programmers" seem to be a pretty nice bunch. Compared to the average "God" that is. I wouldn't be too upset if your beliefs took over from the other religions.

I had some interesting ideas I wanted to share on below quotes, but realized it's discussion & journal, so I only would do so if you asked me

Anyway, I wish you all the best creating what you decide to create...and be happy
Premise 1: "I have been made insane by The Matrix" (that's what I've been told let's say that's true)

Premise 2: I have been diagnosed as schizophrenic i.e. "insane" because of Madaba communicating with me (true)

Conclusion: Madaba is "The Matrix" (I think this is a sound conclusion????

Okay, if permission is granted

Premise 1: "I have been made insane by The Matrix" (that's what I've been told let's say that's true)
When I watched "the Matrix" I got really sick to my stomach (pain, about to vomit, which I never need to do). My Master explained why this happened.

So, this movie is not healthy when I am is too open I experienced (I watched it after staying in the Ashram with my Master for ca. 2 years, hence I was too "open" to watch such a movie).

This was a great lesson though. If I want God, I better stay away from such movies.

Premise 2: I have been diagnosed as schizophrenic i.e. "insane" because of Madaba communicating with me (true)
IF God talks to you
THEN I call it "sane" not "insane"

Conclusion: Madaba is "The Matrix" (I think this is a sound conclusion????
My thoughts on this.

"Madaba" might be describing God quite well. As you know "Abba" is the Aramaic word for father, used by Jesus and Paul to address God in a relation of personal intimacy.

"Madaba" might be more correctly "Mad Abba". Applied within the context of "the Matrix" it might be God's hint that "the Matrix" is the "mad" version of "Abba" the Father

Note:
The above were my thoughts, as in, if I would have experienced/heard the word "Madabba" in the context of "the Matrix"

So, in no way I am trying to debate you, just sharing my thoughts. Maybe it makes a little sense to you, maybe not at all, then just trash it:D

After all, you know best, what God means, when God communicates with you

Having seen the Matrix, I did recognize certain spiritual teachings they put in this movie. So, we can learn a thing or two from this movie.
