?They were investigated. And convicted.
“The Supreme Court on Monday ruled in favor of two doctors who were convicted of prescribing dangerous opioids without valid medical justification in violation of federal law.”
Question:“The Supreme Court on Monday ruled in favor of two doctors who were convicted of prescribing dangerous opioids without valid medical justification in violation of federal law.”
What is your question?
My mistake. I thought we were talking about the doctors still.Question:
Who was convicted?
Why?
I was discussing justices.
They've not even been accused.
I would argue in this case it should. Negligent and potentially harmful practicing medicine is against the law. The Chinese have had an opiate crisis in the past (I believe it's even covered in Farewell my Concubine). What the hell did these doctors think could happen differently? That giving more and more and more would somehow not lead to problems? That it wouldn't lead to chasing a drug high that is unobtainable due to the tolerance build up and other physiological responses?Obviously the doc has a duty to do what is reasonable
& best. Failure shouldn't necessarily be criminal.

Yes, they should have their charges stick, and those who haven't been charged should be.
I am curious how you think the doctors over prescribing them made a sound decision.Agree to disagree.
Even the court's liberals are on my side.
Will the universe survive this?
I never said it was a sound decision.I am curious how you think the doctors over prescribing them made a sound decision.
Yes, that. As from all my education and experience it is a very reckless and destructive decision for a doctor to make, complete with neon warning signs.I agreed with the court that it wasn't a criminal matter.
