Your Screen Name And Avatar

It Aint Necessarily So

Perhaps it would interesting if some of us shared what our avatars and screen names mean if not obvious, and why we selected them to represent us.

My screen name is a song title about atheism from the mid-20th century Gershwin musical Porgy And Bess: "It ain't necessarily so. The things that you're liable to read in the Bible, it ain't necessarily so." The song starts at about 2:00 into to this video:

The avatar, the marching red bear, is Grateful Dead iconography. Here he is with his yellow brother escorting Jerry Garcia to heaven just after his death in 1995.

Early on in my massage and PT career I fell and hurt my shoulder. Took me out of the biz for a good six months since both jobs are very physically active. I decided to go back and finish my multimedia degree while I was healing. I'd been working with digital art programs like photoshop, illustrator, blender and others since I was a teen but never wanted to monetize. Honestly I kind of still feel that way so I only do rare commissions and passive art income. So the name came from when I decided to do digital art on a professional level. Thankfully I'm still able to keep it mostly a hobby and keep my career in medicine.

The icon is a picture I made a long time ago of three color compositions of a crow.

I am a polyamorous mathematician that likes to know about things.

The 257 is a Fermat prime, one of the five known (3, 5, 17, 257, and 65537). These primes show up in some amazing places.

The avatar is the 'Happy Humanist'.

My favorite number is 343. It's palindromic of course. But it's also = (3+4) to the 3rd.

As for my other stuff - we have a bunch of Icelandic horses, and my avatar is a picture of my now-retired horse that I used to compete with.

I called myself The Sum of Awe because i'm awesum
As for my avatar, it's a cool design
Like@JustGeorge, I change my avatar often....I have offered 'Dog avatars', a religious theme avatar and my present avatar was picked for no reason other then I liked the colors.... The Screen Name is an attempt to imply an immovable object while at the same time, an attempt to recognize our environment(represented by the tree) as our physical means to maintain physical health and life..

My screen name started as a spoof on the Communist "Hammer and Sickle" flag. Had a partner in crime who named himself sickle and stuck around here for all of about 2 weeks.

My name stuck around though, and I fell into Germanic Paganism, in which a particular named hammer shows up being wielded frequently ;).

My avatar rotates based on my mood, but more often times than not it is some variation of the "World Tree"/Yggdrasil

My avatar represents marriage. The guy actually looks a lot like me and the woman on the side kinda looks like my wife.

It represents amalgamated cultures, seasoned with grace, a heaping cup of mercy spread with a lot of love. 48 years and counting but only 40 of it with the grace, mercy and love.

Why KenS? LOL... I still don't know how the "S" got on there, but I like the first three letters which is a shorter version of my first name.

:)

Congratulations on turning a rough road into a highway.

When I was saved from the weight of my selfishness and sin by Jesus, I spiritually died and was risen to new life in Christ; therefore the screen name- InChrist. The avatar picture reminds of the glorious heavens...my destiny in the love, beauty and joy of eternal life with Christ.

The hawk is one I photographed at a raptor rehabilitation center in Florida. I've used other pictures I've taken before.

I believe in reincarnation/transmigration/past lives/whatever you want to call it...So, when I say I've been here before, that's what I mean...maybe not HERE and maybe not NOW...but I've been here before, now and again...I was beenherebeforebefore at another site, but for some reason, I changed it when I arrived here...
