Interesting question about Matt Gaetz. I wonder, if he had gotten the pardon he asked for (he didn’t) would it have included sex trafficking? Or would it have just been about sedition?

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
To accept a pardon is to admit guilt. All guilty.
Not always. What if one's accusers are in essence part of the problem that created the issues they now face?

A pardon would be more of an appeal to authority as opposed to admission of guilt sometimes.

You'd ask for a pardon if you didn't believe you did anything criminal. Just in case, huh?
I would certainly ask for a pardon if I believed that I was likely to be unjustly charged and convicted by a deeply flawed judicial system. The motivation here would be somewhat comparable to that which underlies plea bargaining by the innocent.

While I am disgusted by those Trump flunkies who sought to shield themselves from legal consequences, that is no justification for stupid generalizations. Next time, think first.
