I'm going to be in the 14th century for the next 6 days. As reception is notoriously bad there, I might not be able to read or post here.

Tell my ancestors to write this down and pass it along, "Make friends with William the Conqueror*. Invest in Google".

When you get back I'll be a billionaire aristcrat and will reward you richly. Thanks.

I suggest you go to the year 2030, instead, where reception is supposed to be better.
And while you are there, could you please send me a copy of the Wall Street Journal?

Tried that once. Turns out, going back to the middle ages, your ancestors are probably also my ancestors, as well as a lot of other peoples.

You think I'd come back if I could go to 2030?

Would you like to share the technology. I would like to go back and slap myself for a few things I did, tell myself to wake up and be a better person.

I am very interested to know if the device, or the method of your time travel ability, is based on Magnetism

"When the motivating and guiding power is the divine force of magnetism it is possible, by its aid, to traverse time and space easily and swiftly." :D

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.

Not if the Fermi paradox has anything to do with it. At least for me anyways.

I'll pretty much be at deaths door by then. Ready for another round of fun.

Well, some of the devices use magnetism in one form or another though it isn't necessary.
In principle you just need to figure out where some time travelling is going to happen (by any means) and then go there (by any means). Lastly, use your imagination to immerse in the time depicted.
There are events for ancient times (especially Roman), medieval, Renaissance, Napoleonic up to WWI. You can't meet your former self, though.

Understood. So you are probably your own ancestor then. Tell your children that one day one of them will meet a person named Brick, and they should be especially cool to Brick.
