I am a prophet of god. Why don’t you believe me?

an anarchist

Your local anarchist.
Well, it’s high time I let you guys in on something. I am a prophet of god.
Believe me? No!? Why not? Isn’t my claim just as valid as the prophets you believe? Heck, I’m right here. Those other prophets lived thousands of years ago. Yet you take them at their word.
I say I am a prophet because I believe I have encountered god and received special information and temporary power from him. I believe I accessed the vibration god resides in. I believe he showed me how to end humanity’s suffering forever.
My encounter with him drove me nuts. It is because I chased god and found him while I was unprepared.
I cannot explain how I did this without violating forum rules. I’m not special, I believe anyone can become a prophet of god. You just have to find him first.
The message is simple. (these are my beliefs) We must become collectively moral. If we are all moral, it would transform the physical reality we exist in and heaven would manifest into the temporal realm. We can end suffering for good through collective morality.
Will I chase god again? I think I value my sanity more.
Clinically, I have delusions of grandeur. Perhaps this is what this is.
I post this, not because I expect anyone to believe in my insanity. I hope this isn’t proselytizing. I’m not trying to convert people to my delusions. Rather, I ask, why am I not more valid than the prophets of the old? My evidence is just as strong, no? A bunch of hearsay. I ask what separates me from the other prophets, what makes them legitimate and not me. Perhaps this is another way of asking what is the evidence for god.
Am I trolling? The world may never know.
Oh, and thanks for reading the ravings of a mad man :D

Umm... I don't believe in a God.
However thinking you speak for God ain't that unusual.
I suspect more would make the claim if they had the confidence.

I suppose you be a prophet for your God whomever that might be but you couldn't be a prophet for my God since as I said, I don't have one.

:D It doesn't match what other prophets have declared and, for that matter, what God declared" :D

Well, it’s high time I let you guys in on something.

You're a secret Canadian?

I am a prophet of god.

If you were genuinely a prophet or seer who personally knew any god or goddess, it very likely would not concern me. As a Hindu, I don't have to accept you, genuineness and all.

Isn’t my claim just as valid as the prophets you believe?

Again, I wouldn't have to accept you. Those ancient seers in my tradition, by the way, have the 'endorsement' of other Great Souls. Who endorses you?

Those other prophets lived thousands of years ago. Yet you take them at their word.

They lived back in time immemorial, hence, I hold their word in highest regard.

We must become collectively moral.

Lol! How about collectively virtuous instead?

We can end suffering for good through collective morality.

It'll take more than human effort to do that.

I’m not trying to convert people to my delusions.

Good.

I'm not sure how many prophets actually claim to be such. Or if they are just called that by others.

Is this going to be like a Final Fantasy game where the character claims enlightenment, then for some reason as the other characters listen to him and nod their heads, they reveal a plot to become a political leader who takes over the world at whatever cost?

We're all prophets of God. If think you know this whole thing however I don't think that's possible. Granted, you probably know more than the ancient prophets who preached that message thousands of years ago. You do make up very good points for an irreligious however there is probably more to God than you think you know. I like your term autotheism. I came up with something similar but with a slightly different take on it. My view of it was basically the same as a personal credo. Realizing you are a deity is pretty nifty but in pantheism everybody is already a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of that deity as well. It doesn't really impress me.

Well, I'll tell you one thing. For sure, you are creative. ;)
I'll know you are not a prophet of God, based on the signs associated with the prophets.
Since you live after Jesus and the apostles, I don't expect you to raise the dead :D, but for a certainty, I expect a few things.
  1. Acts of the Apostles 1:8
  2. Matthew 28:19-20
  3. John 13:35
  4. Romans 10:14-15
If all four apply in your case, then yes, you are a prophet in the true sense of the word, and sent by the one given all authority to send you. Matthew 28:18
If not. Nah. :)

I am struggling to see any objective difference between your claims and those of other religions.

Maybe some will be in the posts of others, I shall keep reading.

What god are you talking about? You could be a prophet for some type of god.

You’re definitely not a prophet for God, the Father of Jesus, the Christian God. You don’t believe in him, so you couldn’t be His prophet. Silly.
