Or maybe the republican owners have not bothered investing but rather milk all profits and leave the **** to their grandchildren

No, that's not it.

It's the environmental extremists creating problems for American workers.

They don't care about the well being of the poor and middle class. The environmental elites fly around in their private jets lecturing the rest of us.

Shameful.

Why do you think Republicans own our power plants?
They're state regulated utilities. Our governor is a Dem.
BTW, I'm ready...I have 2 generators ready to go
(5kw & 20kw).

Bull, the lack of investment when they knew long in advance how things are going is the problem

You are lucky. Lack of investment by the power companies probably means you will get some use out of your investment

The state of Michigan?

Who is blocking the building of new power plants? Not republicans.

Democrats consistently fight against the building of any new coal or gas fired power plants.

This is entirely the fault of Democrats.

Yes, and?

Are they demonstrating against nuclear or green energy power?

It has been shown how much pollution gas and coal generate. As i said, they are not investing in the future for their grandchildren but milking profits with cheap and polluting power stations.

Nuclear, yes.

No, it has not been shown. That is leftist propaganda.

Technology has advanced so that both coal and especially natural gas emissions are very clean.

You seem to be part of the problem so I don't expect you to accept the truth.

Nope, the consensus of scientists who work in the field agree.

And

Coal-fired electricity generation is cleaner than ever. NETL's research shows that a new coal plant with pollution controls reduces nitrogen oxides by 83 percent, sulfur dioxide by 98 percent, and particulate matter by 99.8 percent compared to plants without controls

Leaving 17% no2, 2% so2 more than any other source

I'm a chemist in the steel industry. Most environmentalists are propagandists for the left.

If you think CO2 is pollution, then you are a propagandist.

Please read my edited post.

So you have a vested interest in pollutants, cool

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
This is just one more state that can't keep up with electrical demand. This is an ongoing problem that is going to get worse thanks to misguided Democrat policies limiting fossil fuel production and use.

In the midst of this crisis these geniuses are pushing the production of EVs which will further strain our power grid.

And authoritarian Democrats want to force people to buy EVs.

Just like the old USSR where they were forcing everyone to drive homogeneous goverment pushed pieces of junk.

It's plain insane and nuts.

Or the Democrats owners are creating this themselves by their own compulsary antics by pushing green tech well before its even remotely ready for prime time.

How do you explain Texas? How their power grid is failing, in a resolutely Republican state? Something tells me that political party is not germane to energy infrastructure...

I thought Republican states were smart. Just build them yourself and sell the power to the Democratic states. Problem solved. I am a functional Democrat and I figured that out in minute.

Not their job to worry about your electrical needs.

The government, maybe. It'd be nice if they thought ahead but no guarantee.
Better not to rely entirely on the governments.
