Hate is Better?

Which is better? Love or hate.

Love is positive? Why?
Hate is negative? Why?

What makes love the superior emotion to feel?

Hate exists to warn you against something that threatens you.

Love and hate. the carrot and the stick to keep you alive.

Hate you say can be destructive? Cannot love also be as destructive?
Hate will make you do stupid things. Can't love also make you do stupid things?

Why does hate get such a bad rap. Hate is only trying to protect you.

New Which is better? Love or hate.

Acceptance.

Love is positive? Why?

It makes one feel good.

Hate is negative? Why?

Sometimes it destroys both the person and/or things outside them, whether directly or indirectly.

What makes love the superior emotion to feel?

It's popular because of religion, I imagine. People also like it. It makes them feel good.

Hate exists to warn you against something that threatens you.

I wouldn't say that. I think hate mostly prohibits.

Hate you say can be destructive? Cannot love also be as destructive?

Can't usually win with hatred. Love can be destructive, but sometimes worth it - not always though. Got to treat it like a card game, knowing when you hold, fold, walk away.

Love and hate are not opposites, but each derives from some different human thought processes. We have two main ways we think. We think both creatively and reactively. Reactive thinking is fast, easy, defensive. Creative thinking takes thought energy, is slower, but it creates possibilities or recognizes possibilities.

Hate is reactive. We need it, but it isn't creative. By itself it reduces us to reactive creatures. Hate and reactive thought cannot even fathom love and creative processes; but love and creatives processes can appreciate and understand hate and reactive processes. They are the larger, slower and all encompassing. You do need reactive processes but managed and checked by creative ones. You need the negative point of view, which in its context is true; but you also need to see larger contexts. The negative point of view cannot see the positive point of view, but the positive point of view sees all. The positive point of view acknowledges the negative plus alternatives.

There is no such thing as a purely positive point of view which has no inkling of the negative point of view. It is a larger process which acknowledges the threats and the dangers but is not reactive.

I think if you use hatred, calculate it and your actions, if possible, well first.

And I don't think half the things called hatred here or in the article, are really hatred.

I understand Hate is not justified. Isn't the positve/constructive form of hate when it's justified called "Justice".

For love when it's healthy and constructive it's bound to respect, when it's unhealthy it's obsession.

Anger and hatred can make us feel happy, says study

What if hatred makes you feel happy?

All creation requires destruction. You can't create one thing without destroying another.
And is not love also a reaction to something?

Love and hate motivate us. Why can't hate motivate us to be creative?

I understand maybe it doesn't usually work that way but maybe the problem is us. We are not taught to creatively use hate.

Hate is only trying to protect you.

Not necessarily.

It may exist to encourage you to increase your status at the expense of others.

In the modern world, it can be easily tricked into making you perform actions that you think increase your status at the expense of others, but actually do the opposite.

The word can mean many different things.

Perhaps the language isn't reliably distinguishing between the many different kinds of hate.

There is a just hate of bad things. There's a just anger over things gone bad. That's why Star Wars I thought was too limited in its Jedi practices.

So I always distinguish between good hate and evil hatred.

I think love has a just anger and a just hate. With this kind of love there's peace and self control knowing there are right reasons for the anger or hate.

There's people I love that have things about them I totally hate. There's people I love that make me angry.

My then wife and I would yell "I hate you!" to one another when we used to argue with each other, then we would resolve our lover's quarrel by making love to each other.

Sometimes hatefulness can lead to passionate love.

I'll try to remember that the next time I tell someone I hate them.

Yes, the Greek talked of different forms of love. Perhaps we should investigate the different forms of hate as well.

Hate or Love: I guess you can't really have one without the other. But at least it's something to analyze and work with.

But indifference and apathy are somewhat different. Hate and love have a certain power which motivates action, but indifference and apathy motivate inaction.

It's usually a positive emotion. That's good.
Hate exists to warn you against something that threatens you.
Yes, hate has its uses, but ─ far more than love usually does ─ it needs to be tempered by reason or you end up a Trump follower, taught to be frightened and vicious without ever quite being able to give sane reasons why.
